摘要： A method and apparatus for providing a data object from a Content Server to a client device over a Radio Access Network (RAN). A first property is determined that may affect the way in which the data object is to be transferred. A property of the data object is also determined. In response to the determined first property and the property of the data object, a characteristic of a transfer of the data object from the Content Server to the client device is amended. The data object is then provided from the Content Server to the client device. The method allows characteristics of the transfer of the data object to be changed to optimize transfer to the client device. Examples of the first property include properties in the RAN or client device instructions.

摘要： In a first embodiment, the “one tap” operation of this disclosure enables a user having a mobile device “one tap” mobile application (or “app”) to log-in to the user's desktop or laptop computer by bringing the user's device in physical proximity to the computer and, while in such proximity, accepting a push notification that is received on the mobile device. In a second embodiment, the user uses the “one tap” functionality to access a cloud-based account that has been set up for the user on a third party web application (e.g., SalesForce.com). The technique seamlessly integrates with third party websites using well-known protocols (e.g., SAML2), and it enables secure cross-origin resource sharing in a highly secure, reliable and available manner. Still another aspect of this disclosure is an enhanced proximity detection routine that is used to facilitate the one tap function when the user's mobile device is moved into proximity with the computer.

摘要： Embodiments are directed to an application-layer handoff of an access terminal from a first system of an access network to a second system of the access network during a communication session within a wireless communications system. In an embodiment, the access terminal sets up a communication session on the first system. A multimedia client measures application-layer performance parameters for the communication session supported by the first system, and determines whether to handoff the communication session to a second system based at least in part on the application-layer performance parameters. If the multimedia client determines to handoff the communication session to the second system, the multimedia client initiates the handoff and the communication session is transitioned to the second system.

The arbitration component is configured to arbitrate at least one of (i) requests made by each of the wireless applications to the radio object for access to one or more of the radio components in the set, or (ii) responses from the radio object to requests made by each of the wireless applications.

The method can include: a widget mobile terminal transmitting a widget message to a receiver through a widget server; after receiving the widget message sent from the widget mobile terminal, the widget server judging whether the receiver supports the widget; if judging that the receiver supports the widget, then transmitting the received widget message to the receiver; and if judging that the receiver does not support the widget, then transmitting a corresponding message to the receiver via a message center. A widget mobile user can transmit a widget to another widget mobile user, and the receiver can run the widget application directly while receiving the widget message.

The present invention accomplishes the conversion transmission of the synchronous message and asynchronous message through protocol conversion modules, reduces the load of the national WAP portal greatly, and makes it quite obvious that the service subscription or unsubscription speed for users is improved.
