    • A page transition file creation system and a method for creating a page transition file in a file format suitable for displaying transitions quickly on an electronic paper display. The page transition file creation system creates a page transition file with page transition blocks representing transition between two or more pages. The page transition file creation system encodes the high order color bit from each pixel for a given page. Each transition block in the page transition file covers a set of consecutive pages that overlaps with pages covered by the previous block and the next block for pseudo double buffering. A page transition display system uses page transition files to display page transitions. The page transition display system determines the appropriate page transition file and waveform lookup table for displaying page transitions.     • A method and system for generating page and document logs for electronic documents. The system includes a plurality of portable electronic devices and a workflow server. The portable electronic devices display a document that receives stroke input and images. A stroke capture device and module generates a log of segments and updates the log in response to a user erasing stroke data. An image capture module captures an image and inserts the image into a document. A logging module generates page metadata for each page within the document and document metadata that includes changes made to the page data. The logging module copies the page metadata and document metadata in response to a request. The copying includes a copy of all the metadata, metadata for selected pages and metadata for redacted content.

    • A high voltage inverter device uses, as an input voltage (Vin), a DC voltage or a voltage composed of a DC component with a pulsating current superposed thereon, switches the input voltage by a switching element (Qsw) to apply an exciting current to an excitation winding (NP) of a resonant transformer (10) and output an alternating-current high voltage (Vout) from an output winding (NS) of the resonant transformer. An abnormal voltage detection circuit (7) including a varistor (12) detects an abnormal voltage generated in the excitation winding (NP) of the resonant transformer (10), and when the abnormal voltage is detected, its signal is transmitted by a photocoupler (11) to a control circuit (20), thereby causing the control circuit (20) to stop its oscillation operation to stop a switching operation of the switching element (Qsw).
