    • Systems and methods for securely entering pass-sets in input/output (I/O) devices. An exemplary I/O device includes an authentication application, an output interface and a user-controls interface. The authentication application is configured to generate aural, visual, audiovisual or tactile messages containing one or more pass-set entry menus, in response to a request to access a pass-set protected resource by a user of the I/O device. The output interface is configured to securely present the generated messages for the user. For example, the headphone of a headset can securely present an aural message to a wearer. The user-controls interface is configured to assist the user in making a selection from the menus or choices presented to the user. For example, a variety of controls, switches and buttons on a headset can facilitate user input. The user selection is then assembled into a user entered pass-set for authenticating the user's identity by an authenticator.

In one example, methods and apparatuses for receiving communications associated with a monitoring of a first interface, a second interface, and a third interface for an incoming call. A current active call is placed in a bold queue, the hold queue configured to contain calls placed on hold received over the first interface, the second interface, and the third interface. Notification of a second user action to place the incoming call on a hold status is received. The incoming call is placed in the hold queue, a next call from the hold queue is retrieved, and the next call is activated.

    • Systems and methods for measuring noise exposure associated with use of a wireless headset are presented. In one example, a transition from a wireless headset standby mode operation to a wireless headset active mode operation is identified. A stored noise dose measurement at the wireless headset is recalled, and a current noise dose measurement is calculated at the wireless headset for a duration of the active mode operation. A transition from the wireless headset active mode operation to the wireless headset standby mode operation is identified, and an updated noise dose measurement is recorded at the wireless headset.
