    • In selected embodiments a repository system correlates user browsing behavior with in-store transactions involving a number of products or product categories. For example, an online portal may receive online transactional data and in-store transactional data and associate particular user identities with such data. The user identities may be correlated by matching online transactional data with in-store transactional data. This correlation identifies a user known to frequent both online and in-store venues of the same retailer. The online portal may maintain browser repository records based on an association of online and in-store identities. In some implementations, the portal measures in-store transactions of a user known to frequent both online and in-store venues. The measurements may be performed for a predetermined time period. Such measurements may be used to extrapolate web influenced in-store transactional data from at least one browser repository record to estimate a transaction for an unknown user.

    • A receiver circuit is provided on an integrated circuit. The receiver circuit includes first and second power supply terminals, a ground supply terminal, a resistive element coupled between the first and second power supply terminals, and a receiver biased between the second power supply terminal and the ground supply terminal. The receiver draws a bias current through the resistive element, which varies as a positive function with a voltage on the second power supply terminal. The voltage on the second power supply terminal varies as an inverse function of the bias current.

    • A marketing sign is constructed of a sheet material. The sheet material includes a free portion, a base portion and a connecting portion that couples the base portion to the free portion. The base portion includes an engaging piece and a support piece.     • Hidden Markov Model (HMM) parameters are updated using update equations based on growth transformation optimization of a minimum classification error objective function. Using the list of N-best competitor word sequences obtained by decoding the training data with the current-iteration HMM parameters, the current HMM parameters are updated iteratively. The updating procedure involves using weights for each competitor word sequence that can take any positive real value. The updating procedure is further extended to the case where a decoded lattice of competitors is used. In this case, updating the model parameters relies on determining the probability for a state at a time point based on the word that spans the time point instead of the entire word sequence. This word-bound span of time is shorter than the duration of the entire word sequence and thus reduces the computing time.
