    • An impeller includes a metal base plate, a shaft and a plurality of plastic blades. The metal base plate includes a shaft-coupling portion, a peripheral portion, and first and second surfaces. The first surface faces away from the second surface in a first direction, and the second surface faces away from the first surface in a second direction. The metal base plate is flat between the shaft-coupling portion and the peripheral portion. The first surface has a permanent magnet. The shaft has a fixing end coupled with the shaft-coupling portion, as well as a free end extending axially in the first direction. Each plastic blade has a coupling portion coupled with the peripheral portion, as well as an air-driving portion axially extending in the second direction. The impeller may be rotatably coupled with a driving module. The driving module is installed in a fan frame to form an advection fan.

    • A heat dissipating fan includes a housing having an air inlet and an air outlet between which an air passageway is formed. A fixed seat is provided in the air passageway and includes first positioning holes. A magnetically conductive first casing includes a first outer wall, an extended wall extending radially outward from an end of the first outer wall and having second positioning holes aligned with the first positioning holes, and a first support on the other end of the first outer wall. A second casing is coupled to an inner periphery of the extended wall of the first casing. A motor mounted in the first and second casings includes a stator and a circuit board electrically connected to the stator.

    • An inner-rotor-type motor includes a casing, a shaft and a claw-pole member. The shaft is rotatably coupled to the casing, and coupled to a permanent magnet having a magnetism-inducing surface. The claw-pole member is coupled within the casing and has an annular portion and a plurality of salient-poles. The annular portion has an inner circumferential wall. Each salient-pole is disposed between the annular portion and a respective pole plate. Each pole plate has a first side and a second side. The first side and the second side oppose each other. A magnetic pole surface is formed between the first side and the second side and faces the magnetism-inducing surface of the permanent magnet. An air gap is formed between the magnetic pole surface and the magnetism-inducing surface. Each pole plate has an extension portion and a shrinking portion. The coil unit is coupled to the plurality of salient-poles.

    • A miniature heat-dissipating fan includes a stator and a rotor. The stator has a first leakage flux absorber, a coil layer arranged on the first leakage flux absorber, and a hole. The coil layer has a plurality of coils, and the hole passes through the first leakage flux absorber and the coil layer. The rotor has an impeller, a second leakage flux absorber and a permanent magnet. The second leakage flux absorber and the permanent magnet are attached to a bottom of the impeller, such that the rotor is rotatably coupled to the stator. Consequently, magnetic flux leakage under the stator is prevented to assure that electromagnetic interference will never be caused, and an overall axial thickness of the miniature heat-dissipating fan is reduced by the configuration of the stator.

    • A miniature motor includes a substrate having a pivotal portion. A coil unit and a detection element are provided around the pivotal portion. A rotor is rotatably mounted to the pivotal portion and includes a hub and a permanent magnet mounted to the hub and aligned with the coil unit and the detection element. The permanent magnet includes a plurality of north and south poles each having a stronger magnetism section. A weaker magnetism section is formed between two adjacent stronger magnetism sections. At least one auxiliary starting member is mounted between the substrate and the rotor and aligned with the permanent magnet. When the rotor stops rotating, the at least one auxiliary starting member aligns with and magnetically attracts at least one of the stronger magnetism sections, locating the detection element in a position not aligned with the weaker magnetism sections along an axis of the hub.
