    • A device, method, and program product are disclosed which are configured to receive, at a risk analysis engine, one or more business service models from a configuration management database, wherein the one or more business service models each comprises a set of configuration items, and wherein the one or more business service models each indicate a type of configuration item and a connectivity of the configuration item; send the set of configuration items to a vulnerability assessment tool; receive, from the vulnerability assessment tool, one or more vulnerability assessment scores for each configuration item within the set of configuration items; determine an overall business service vulnerability score for each of one or more business services based on the one or more business service models and the vulnerability assessment scores received from the vulnerability assessment tool; and output electronically the overall business service vulnerability score.

    • A first virtual machine is implemented on one or more computing devices to generate input/output (I/O) requests to a hardware device. A second virtual machine is also implemented on the computing devices. A mechanism is to switch between a direct mode and an indirect mode without switching between a first context and a second context of the hardware device. In the direct mode, the I/O requests generated by the first virtual machine are to be sent to the hardware device without being redirected to the second virtual machine. In the indirect mode, the I/O requests generated by the first virtual machine are to be redirected to the second virtual machine for processing. The second virtual machine is to, after processing the I/O requests redirected to the second virtual machine, send the I/O requests to the hardware device.

    • A system and method for extending the implementation of one or more Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPSs) such that each user can be placed in the IPS traffic path to create secure containment areas at a granular level, port types and port counts are increased, and higher network connection speeds are supported. In different embodiments of the invention, traffic load is balanced across two or more IPSs, enabling enhanced availability during system failures, replacements or updates. IPS performance is improved by enhancing traffic management of “trusted” (e.g., pass-through) and “known bad” (e.g., discarded) traffic flows and decreasing configuration task workloads. Other embodiments of the invention include, but are not limited to, extending the implementation of proxy devices, virtual private networks (VPNs), session border controllers (SBCs), firewalls, protocol gateways and other bump-in-the-wire systems.

    • A method of printing a document is disclosed: A format template file is generated by defining locations and sizes on a page of at least two copy holes into which a content element is to be inserted. A group object is created which incorporates the two copy holes by generating a hierarchical data structure which specifies an identifier for the group object and identifies each copy hole of which the group object is comprised. The group object is replicated on a page of the format template file. A merged file is created by merging the format template file, a style template file specifying a font for a text content element. Each content element is identified in respect of a copy hole. The merged file is rendered to create a bitmap. A print engine is operated in accordance with the bitmap to print a document.
