    • A strip pack device is adapted to manufacture a strip-pack product having an article attached to a strip. The strip pack device includes a conveying part, a drawing-in part, a moving part and an attachment part. The drawing-in part is configured and arranged to draw a front end of the article conveyed by the conveying part to a predetermined position. The front end is located frontward in a conveying direction. The moving part is configured and arranged to receive the article at the predetermined position in the drawing-in part, to move the article from the predetermined position in a generally opposite direction of a draw-in direction of the drawing-in part, and to move the article to an attaching position. The attachment part is configured and arranged to attach the front end of the article to the strip after the article has been moved to the attaching position.

    • It is an object of the present invention to provide coding techniques which allow for higher efficiency and easier synchronization with coded data. In order to attain the object, a coding device according to the present invention converts 2-bit informational data into 4-bit coded data according to a predetermined coding rule. According to the coding rule employed in the coding device, one of four possible kinds of bit strings of informational data is converted into alternately a bit string of four bits in which each of values of two successive bits is “1” and a bit string of four bits in which each of values of all bits is “0”. Then, the other kinds of bit strings are converted into bit strings of four bits which differ from one another, in each of which a value of only one bit is “1”.

    • A combination weighing apparatus includes a dispersion unit, conveying units and weighing units. The dispersion unit is arranged to radially disperse product material. At least one of the conveying units has a spiral member disposed over a bottom surface of the trough. The spiral member is configured and arranged to convey the product material supplied from the dispersion unit toward the outside end of the trough.
