The implanted part comprises a) A multitude of electrodes; b) Stimulation circuitry electrically coupled to a stimulation electrode during a stimulation time period; c) Measurement circuitry electrically coupled to a recording electrode during a measurement time period; d) A control unit configured to control the timing of the application of the stimulation signal in the stimulation time period and to control the measurement time period relative to the stimulation time period; and e) A processing unit configured to record the measured signal in the measurement time period and to identify a response from the auditory nerve based on said measured signal. The invention may e.g. be used for cochlear implant type hearing aids.

摘要： According to an embodiment, an apparatus for sensing vibrations produced by a bone conduction hearing aid is disclosed. The apparatus includes a proximal end, a distal end and a side surface. The proximal end comprising a proximal periphery comprising a material adapted to, during a measurement, contact a skin of a user of the bone conduction device and to enclose a skin area within the proximal periphery. The distal end comprising a measurement microphone adapted to, during the measurement, receive an acoustic signal in dependence of vibrations produced at the skin area, the vibrations being representative of skull vibrations produced within the user by the bone conduction hearing aid in response to a sound signal. The side surface, in combination with the proximal periphery and the distal end, adapted to define an acoustic signal transmission cavity that allows transmission of the acoustic signal from the skin area to the measurement microphone during the measurement.

摘要： The application relates to a hearing assistance device comprising an implantable part for electrically stimulating an auditory nerve of a user. The application further relates to a method of operating a hearing assistance device. The object of the present application is to improve the electrical stimulation of the cochlear nerve by a cochlear implant hearing assistance device. The problem is solved in that the implanted part comprises a) a current source generator; and b) an electrode array configured to be located inside one of the cochlear scala or adjacent to the auditory nerve. The hearing assistance device is configured to produce a time-varying waveform delivered by the current source generator, the time-varying waveform comprising a positively sloping positive pulse. This has the advantages of providing a smaller spatial spread of neurons being discharged by electric stimuli from a given electrode. The invention may e.g. be used in cochlear implant hearing assistance devices.

摘要： A skull simulator tests and calibrates bone-conduction vibrators under realistic operating conditions. In known skull simulators, the front wall of the casing—and/or exposed parts of the suspension—have one or more planar surfaces on the front, and these planar surfaces are thus oriented towards the bone-conduction vibrator when it is mounted on the skull simulator. Such planar surfaces may reflect airborne sound from the vibrator housing or may emit sounds themselves when vibrating, and the reflected or emitted sound contributes to resonances are not present when the bone-conduction vibrator is mounted on a human head. In the current design all exposed parts on the front located outside a coupling surface for connecting the bone-conduction vibrator do not have planar surfaces perpendicular to the main oscillation axis or that otherwise, such planar surfaces comprising an acoustic foam having an acoustic dampening effect on sound waves impinging thereon.
