    • The image recording apparatus includes a regulating guide for regulating a position of a recording medium and a passage changing unit for changing a passage of the recording medium to the other passage thereof. The regulating guide includes a pair of outer guides arranged at outermost positions in a width direction and having in a perpendicular direction to a transport plane for the recording medium plural outer passage portions for regulating a position of the recording medium in the width direction and at least one inner guide arranged between the pair of outer guides and having on both sides in the width direction inner passage portions for regulating a position of the recording medium in the width direction at a position in the perpendicular direction corresponding to one outer passage portion of the pair of outer guides. The regulating guide forms plural passages in the perpendicular direction.

    • The improved image recording apparatus comprises a main scanning section; an auxiliary scanning section; and an upstream transport section; wherein a light-sensitive material, as it is transported in an auxiliary scanning direction after its position in a main scanning direction was regulated by the upstream transport section, is illuminated with recording light beams, whereby the light-sensitive material is scanned two-dimensionally with the recording light beams to record an image on the light-sensitive material. The apparatus further includes vibration damping members by which the main scanning section, the auxiliary scanning section and the upstream transport section are coupled to other components of the image recording apparatus in such a way as to insulate vibrations. During image recording on sheets of light-sensitive material with light beams, any adverse effects of internal and external vibrations are sufficiently prevented, insulated or damped to prevent the occurrence of offsets in the position of the light-sensitive material, unevenness in its transport in the auxiliary scanning direction and other problems that would otherwise cause unevenness in image.

    • There is provided a sheeting transport apparatus comprising two roller pairs as a component of an auxiliary scan transport mechanism in optical beam scanners and an anti-positional offset mechanism that is provided between the two roller pairs to prevent any positional offset of sheeting that may occur in the depth direction from the optical scan position, for example a retaining roller pair including a fixed roller and a retainer roller capable of adjusting the force of urging the fixed roller. This apparatus further includes opening and closing mechanisms for independently advancing or retracting a roller of each roller pair with respect to a fixed roller, and drive units thereof. This apparatus is a small, compact and low-cost apparatus that is simple in configuration and which yet is optimal for precise image reading and recording purposes. The apparatus is capable of suppressing the adverse effects of curl and other undesirable phenomena in the sheeting. Any positional offsets in the depth direction such as upward departure from the light scanning position are eliminated or reduced thereby ensuring that the sheeting is maintained adequately flat during transport in the auxiliary scanning direction.

    • The ultrasound probe transmits and receives ultrasonic waves in different directions and the diagnostic apparatus body combines a plurality of images captured in the different directions of transmission and reception to produce an ultrasound image. The ultrasound diagnostic apparatus thus enables consistent ultrasound diagnosis against heat generated in the integrated circuit board of the ultrasound probe while simplifying the control of the ultrasound transmission and reception.

    • An ultrasound diagnostic system includes at least one oscillator unit, at least one communication unit which processes and wirelessly transmits reception signals outputted from the at least one oscillator unit and from which the at least one oscillator unit is detachable, and a diagnostic apparatus body which acquires the reception signals through wireless communication with the at least one communication unit to generate an ultrasound image of the reception signals. The diagnostic apparatus body acquires identification information of the at least one oscillator unit and the at least one communication unit to establish the wireless communication with the at least one wireless communication unit so that the reception signals of a probe are wirelessly transmitted to the diagnostic apparatus body. The ultrasound diagnostic system has replaceable oscillator units and is capable of flexible and smooth wireless connection between the diagnostic apparatus body and a probe having desired settings.
