摘要： The present invention relates to a polymer composition comprising (A) from 60 to 90 wt % of a non-elastomeric polyethylene; (B) from 9.0 to 38 wt % of an elastomer; wherein onto component (A) or components (A) and (B) an acid grafting agent (C) has been grafted in an amount of from 0.01 to 3.0 wt %, all based on the total weight of the polymer composition, and wherein the polymer composition has two distinct peaks and a valley between said peaks in the GPC curve and a Z value, determined from the areas below the two peaks of the GPC curve, of at least −0.3, wherein the Z-value is determined according to formula (I) Z=s/Abs(B−A) (I) wherein Abs(B−A) is the absolute value of (B−A); A=the area, between the tangent parallel to the MW axis going through log M (Min) and the LS15 signal, from log M of 5.1 to log M value where the LS signal is minimum log M (Min), in the log M range between 5.1 and 6; B=the area, between the tangent parallel to the MW axis going through log M (Min) and the LS 15 signal, from log M(Min) to the point where the LS signal is crossed again; and s is the slope between the two peaks of the GPC curve, defined at log M of 5.1 and 6, wherein the GPC curve is defined as the concentration normalized LS 15 signal along the molecular weight of conventional GPC, obtained from the GPC-VISC-LS analysis, a multi-layer structure such as a coated metal pipe, comprising one layer comprising said polymer composition and the use of said polymer composition as adhesive polymer composition and for the production of a multi-layer structure.

The thermoplastic resin composition exhibits remarkably excellent chemical resistance and remarkably excellent appearance characteristics while maintaining basic properties.

The polymeric material is formed from a thermoplastic composition containing a continuous phase that includes a matrix polymer and within which a microinclusion additive and nanoinclusion additive are dispersed in the form of discrete domains. A porous network is defined in the material that includes a plurality of nanopores having an average cross-sectional dimension of about 800 nanometers or less. The polymeric material exhibits a thermal conductivity of about 0.20 watts per meter-kelvin or less.

摘要： The present invention discloses a process for forming a biaxially oriented film. The process includes first selecting a polyolefin resin wherein said polyolefin resin comprises a linear low density polyethylene resin characterized by having from 9 to 35 weight percent of the total weight of linear low density polyethylene resin eluting from a CEF at a temperature greater than 97.0° C.; and further characterized by having a CDR of from 33 to 80 and a Mw Ratio of from 0.15 to 0.45. Next a film is formed from the polyolefin resin selected in the first step. Finally the film formed in the second step is oriented in a sequential manner. The films produced by this process are characterized by having an ultimate elongation at least 1.5 times greater in the MD as compared to the CD and the 2% secant modulus is a least 1.25 times greater in the CD as compared to the MD. The films are further characterized by having free residual shrinkage of less than 10% in the MD and less than 10% in the CD when exposed to a temperature of 90° C. for 10 minutes.

摘要： The present disclosure provides copolymers comprising from about 0.5 wt % to about 25 wt % cyclic olefin content and films comprising the copolymers. In one embodiment, a copolymer includes a C2-C40 monomer content of from about 75 wt % to about 99.5 wt %; and a C5-C40 cyclic olefin comonomer content of from about 0.5 wt % to about 25 wt %. The copolymer has a density of about 0.91 g/cm3 to about 0.933 g/cm3. Films of the present disclosure can have advantageous mechanical properties (such as melt strength) and optical properties (such as haze %).
