    • A magnetic decoupling unit that is capable of magnetically releasing several types of magnetically releasable antitheft devices may include a magnet assembly. The magnet assembly may be placed inside a magnet housing with a cover that has an aperture and insert for receiving portions of a magnetically releasable antitheft device. The magnet assembly may include a first magnet with a vertical magnetic orientation which is surrounded by adjacent magnets with magnetic orientations that are orthogonal to the vertical magnetic orientation. Additionally, the magnet assembly includes one or more additional magnets oriented in the vertical and orthogonal directions. The resulting magnet assembly may be capable of magnetically releasing single clutch, double clutch, and electronic media type antitheft devices.

    • There is provided a magnetic substance holding device that controls permanent magnet energy with which it is possible to obtain a strong holding force with a simple structure.The magnetic substance holding device that controls permanent magnet energy of the present invention includes an N pole piece formed of a magnetic substance, wherein the N pole piece has a holding face to which a target formed of a magnetic substance is attached and a base attachment face at a side different from the holding face; an S pole piece formed of a magnetic substance, wherein the S pole piece has a holding face to which the target is attached and a base attachment face at a side different from the holding face; a permanent magnet that is disposed such that the N pole thereof comes in contact with the N pole piece and the S-pole thereof comes in contact with the S pole piece; a coil that is wound around at least one of the N pole piece and the S pole piece; a base that is movable between a first position at which the base does not come in contact with both of the base attachment face of the N pole piece and the base attachment face of the S pole piece and a second position at which the base comes in contact with both of the base attachment face of the N pole piece and the base attachment face of the S pole piece; and a control device that controls a current applied to the coil, in which the target is held or released by applying a current to the coil through the control device such that at least one of the N pole piece and the S pole piece is magnetized.

    • The invention relates to a universally applicable detachable magnet holder with a fixed magnet and an opposite-lying magnet which can rotate about a point of rotation and which is provided with magnet pole surfaces, wherein each magnet pole surface comprises at least two poles which, when closed, attract each other and which, when open, repel each other once the rotatable magnet has been rotated by means of an actuation device. According to the invention, a distance element (7), made of a non-ferromagnetic material, is fixed to one of the magnet pole surfaces, whereby the bearing surface on the opposite magnet pole surface is a maximum ⅓ of the surface and a centering engaging device (10a, 10b; 11) is arranged in the vicinity of the magnet poles in order to receive magnetic sheer forces.
