    • A cable support and method for securing a plurality of cables to the structure of a building in such a manner that they are maintained parallel and separate from one another. The one-piece cable support includes a base with an attachment arrangement for anchoring to a surface and a plurality of first and second holding members. Each first holding member includes an arcuate cable holder, a slot, and a deformable member thereon. Each second holding member includes a cable rest thereon. The first and second holding members are paired in sets. The base is secured to a building structure and a cable laid within each set of holding members. A leverage tool is inserted within each slot and leverage applied to deform the deformable member until it contacts the inserted cable. The sets of holding members are aligned parallel to one another thereby providing a cable installation in which each of the inserted cables are securely held separate and parallel to one another.

    • A prepackaged fan and fixture mounting assembly for securing an electrical fixture, such as a ceiling fan, light fixture, or similar device to an overhead joist or other suitable structure. The mounting assembly includes an electrical box having a closed top, a sidewall, and an open bottom that define an electrical wiring enclosure. Provided within the electrical box are integral holsters for temporary storage of device fasteners. A bracket is provided attached to a recessed area in the sidewall for securing the mounting assembly to an appropriate surface. An electrical fan or fixture is installed to the electrical box by removing the device fasteners from their respective holsters and securing them through the mounting ring of the electrical fixture and into the mounting assembly.

    • A pipe or cable clamp having a base portion, flexible legs, and an arcuate arm connected to each of the legs. The arcuate arms include inner and outer arcuate surfaces with the inner arcuate surfaces defining a substantially circular opening. The clamp includes a closure arrangement for closing the arcuate arms and a locking arrangement for securing the arms in the closed position. The clamp is especially useful for securing pipes or cables to a vertical surface. Arm supports extending from the base portion cooperate with posts extending outwardly from the arcuate arms to buttress and support the arcuate arms. The arm supports also brace the flexible leg on the upper side of the vertically-mounted clamp to provide further support and bracing for the arcuate arms.

    • An outlet box assembly that simplifies the installation of an electrical box to a block wall. The assembly includes a box and a base plate. The box includes sidewalls, an open front with a planar front edge, and one or more side arms projecting from the sidewalls in a plane parallel to the planar front. The side arms include one or more apertures for receipt of fasteners. The base plate is substantially larger in area than the sidewalls of the box and includes an opening therein sized to accept the sidewalls of the box. The box is secured to a block wall by creating a hole in the wall at the desired location, positioning the base plate over the hole and against the wall, placing the box through the opening in the base plate until the back surface of the arms are flush with the base plate, and driving fasteners through one or more of the apertures in the side arms, through the base plate, and into the cement block.

    • The present invention describes an improved connector for attaching flexible metallic and non-metallic conduit to electrical panel or junction boxes. The improved connector comprises a two pieces. The first piece comprises a metallic cylindrical inner body section, having an integral collar extending from the metallic cylindrical inner body section. The outer circumference of the inner body section has threads at one end thereof for grabbing the interior surface of the flexible conduit and pulling it toward the collar, while the other end of the metallic cylindrical inner body is equipped with external threads for engagement with an electrical panel or junction box. The second piece comprises a non-metallic resilient seat member or ferrule friction fit onto the conduit engaging end of the metallic cylindrical inner body that is engaged by the conduit end as the conduit is threaded onto the cylindrical inner body.

    • An two-piece siding box easily adapted for mounting various electrical devices such as outlets, switches, or light fixtures. The siding box including a mounting block and a face plate. One end of the mounting block is fastened to an outdoor surface of a building near an electrical source. The opposite end of the mounting block includes a peripheral wall and bosses within the peripheral wall that extend away from the surface of the building. An electrical device is fastened with screws to one or more bosses within the peripheral wall of the mounting block. The face plate includes a peripheral wall of a slightly smaller dimension than the peripheral wall of the mounting block. The face plate is brought in contact with the mounting block with the smaller peripheral wall of the face plate being slidingly engaged within the larger peripheral wall of the mounting block. A standard cover appropriate for the device mounted within the mounting block is then placed outside the face plate. A screw is fastened though the cover and into the device mounted within the mounting block to create the two-piece siding box.

    • This invention relates to electrical connectors, specifically to an electrical connector that is easy to insert into a hole or knock-out of an electrical junction box. Design of the connector provides for positive fixture of the connector in the box once non-metallic sheathed cable, either oval or circular in cross-directional shape, is inserted through the connector, thus preventing the cable from being withdrawn. The C-shaped one piece connector of this disclosure contains an integral hinge, a cutout area, and a necked down area on the top flange to provide for easy flexing about the central insertion axis and therefore easy insertion into an electrical junction box. The jaws of the electrical connector are designed such that a positive bite or grip is applied to an oval or circular non-metallic sheathed cable as tension is applied on the cable to attempt to remove it from the electrical junction box.
