    • A method and a device for manufacturing hollow components out of a composite material, such as sections of an airplane fuselage, that include a skin and possibly strengthening elements. The method may include inserting a multi-articulated arm fitted with a fiber placement head inside a female mold of elongated shape. The female mold includes a longitudinal slit. A support for the multi-articulated arm is received through the slit. The method may also include applying fibers to the inner molding surface of the female mold using the placement head to form the composite material skin, by displacement of the application head using the multi-articulated arm and relative displacement in translation of the support for the multi-articulated arm along said longitudinal slit.

    • A rough and fine movement device capable of moving a mobile body with high accuracy, and a liquid supply device incorporating such a device. First and second mobile bodies are movable along guide members with a connection member connecting the mobile bodies in a relatively movable manner. A first drive mechanism roughly moves the first mobile body by a first stroke. A second drive mechanism between the first and the second mobile bodies, finely moves the second mobile body relative to the first mobile body by a second stroke. The second drive mechanism on one of the first and second mobile bodies and includes an actuator having a contactor with a first contact surface. The other of the bodies includes a second contact surface which contacts the first contact surface. At least one of the first contact surface or the second contact surface is spherical.

    • A pacing lead for implantation in the pericardial space includes an elongated lead body, a compression fixation element, and at least one electrode on either the lead body or the fixation element. The fixation element defines a resilient structure, and is positioned and dimensioned so that when the lead is disposed in the pericardial space, the resilient fixation element is compressed between the parietal and visceral pericardium, thereby biasing the electrode against the myocardium and providing positional stabilization to the lead. Further positional stability may be provided mechanically with structures enabling the application of adhesive or with fixation screw or tine elements.

    • A structure and arrangement for improving the accuracy and efficiency of an angular rate sensing gyroscope is herein disclosed. Voltage pick-off conductors are applied to an area of the surface of a resonating element of an angular rate sensing gyroscope that is subject to substantially zero stress when the gyroscope is rotationally stationary. Actuator conductors are similarly applied to a resonating element at a location bounded by areas of the resonating element subject to substantially uniform levels of stress when the gyroscope is rotationally stationary. A method for improving the voltage response of a piezoelectric resonating element is also disclosed.
