摘要： A color copying machine of the invention has a halogen lamp for emitting light to an original, a photosensitive drum on a surface of which is formed an electrostatic latent image by the light reflected from the original, a transfer section which color-separates the image and transfers it on a paper sheet, a potentiometer probe which detects the surface potential of the photosensitive drum, a microcomputer which makes the measured surface potential to converge to a reference value determined for each color, and a fine tuning board for allowing fine control of the converged value. A copy image of excellent color balance is obtained over a long period of time irrespective of degradation in the units of the machine or variations in the quality of toners. A particular color of the copy image may be emphasized or deemphasized as desired.

First and second photoelectric element arrays are scanned serially in the case that a sensed light intensity is below a predetermined value and scanned in parallel when the light intensity exceeds the predetermined value. For serial scanning, the outputs of the photoelectric elements are applied directly to an output terminal. In the case of parallel scanning, the output of one of the arrays is stored in a memory and then applied to the output terminal.

摘要： The invention provides an image formation apparatus having a photosensitive drum, primary and secondary chargers which are controlled by first and second high voltage transformers, respectively, a predischarge charger controlled by a predischarge high voltage transformer, a transfer charger controlled by a transfer high voltage transformer, an exposure lamp controlled by a light control circuit, a developing roller which receives a controlled bias voltage from an AC developing bias circuit, a surface potentiometer, and a microprocessor. In preliminary exposure, an original is exposed to light to form an electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive drum. The potential of this latent image is measured by the surface potentiometer so as to detect the potential of the original. Based on the potential of the original and hence a detected density of an image of the original, image formation conditions such as a development bias voltage, corona charge, and an original exposure voltage are corrected.
