    • A mounting apparatus for a data storage device (50) includes a bracket (10) for receiving the data storage device therein, a sliding member (20) resiliently attached to the bracket via a spring (40), and a latch member (30) rotatably attached to the bracket for preventing disengagement of the sliding member from the bracket. The data storage device has at least a stud (54) protruding out of a sidewall thereof. The sliding member is movable between a first position in which the spring is at an original state and the sliding member locks the stud of the data storage device, and a second position in which the spring is at a depressed state and the sliding member unlocks the stud of the data storage device.

    • A disk drive bracket assembly includes a bracket capable of receiving at least one disk drive therein, along with a shielding member. The bracket includes a pair of side plates, wherein each of the side plates defines a guide slot therein. The guide slot has an entrance. The shielding member includes a front panel and a pair of side panels bent from opposite edges of the front panel. A resilient catch piece is formed on each side panel. An inclined portion is formed on the resilient catch piece and inserted into the entrance of the guide slot when the catch piece is resiliently deformed, and blocks the shielding member from separating from bracket when the inclined portion engages with an edge of the entrance.

    • A disk drive assembly for a server system includes a drive bracket (30), a disk drive (10), and a backboard (50). The drive bracket includes a top wall (31) and two parallel sidewalls (34) perpendicular to the top wall. The disk drive is received in the drive bracket between the two sidewalls. The disk drive has a port (15) defined therein. The backboard is secured to the drive bracket and perpendicular to the top wall and the sidewalls thereof. The backboard includes a main body (51) and a connecting member (53) detachably mounted on the main body. The connecting member is connected to the port of the disk drive and facilitates communication between the disk drive and the server system.

    • A mounting apparatus for a fan (30) includes a chassis (10), and a locking member (40). The chassis includes a bottom plate (12), two parallel installing plates (22, 24) perpendicularly secured on the bottom plate, and two parallel partition plates (26) perpendicularly secured between the installing plates. The partition plates are perpendicular to the bottom plate. One of the plates defines a cutout (264) offset from a middle of an edge thereof. The locking member engages with the one plate for securing the fan between the plates. A positioning block (424) is formed on the locking member, and engages in the cutout of the one plate for inserting the fan between the plates along a predetermined direction.
