摘要： An electrical connector for a shielded, twisted-pair cable comprises a conductive isolator body, multiple conductive contacts, inner and outer insulators, and inner and outer ferrules. The isolator provides electrical shielding and isolation for the contacts and untwisted portions of the wires connected to the contacts. The inner and outer insulators prevent contact between the contacts and between the contacts and the isolator, an outer shell, or a connector insert. The inner ferrule maintains electrical contact between the isolator and the shielding sheath of the cable. The outer ferrule retains the inner ferrule in place and can establish continuity between the isolator and the outer shell or connector insert.

The guide member body is formed of two parts and one of the parts has ports for the injection of a settable compound, such as a hot melt adhesive to hold the guide member parts together as well as the wires in place within the guide member.

摘要： An electrical connector system includes a header and an electrical connector assembly. The header includes a leading end having a plurality of contact pins that are insertable into an electronic device and a plurality of separated stripline ground plates extending from the leading end toward a mating end of the header. The electrical connector assembly is coupleable with the mating end of the header and includes a plurality of electrical connectors secured in a stacked configuration. Each electrical connector includes a planar insulative connector body and a plurality of electrical cable terminations for mating with a corresponding plurality of contact pins of the header. At least two electrical cable terminations make electrical contact with a common stripline ground plate when the header and the electrical connector assembly are in a mated configuration.
