摘要： A network editor comprises a central location with stored videos such as movies that can be edited by editors at remote locations. An editor receives a representation of a video and specifies edits relative to the representation, enabling the editor to use a device lacking sufficient processing capability to edit the video directly, and also reducing the volume of information transmitted between the central location and the remote editor. The central location is able to provide the edited movie in a format suitable to the display capabilities of the viewing device of the viewer requesting the edited video.

The live and post workflow system including a live broadcasting component for controlling a live broadcast and recording, via a recorder, all media actions, including graphic data information and graphic events, but also all other components and actions required for the production, including video and audio filters, transitions, media clips, mix levels, and a converting phase component for processing and building a generic output from the one or more media files, user actions, and incoming data events and then translating and reconstructing the generic output into a complete reconstruction of the live broadcast having a generic output format and timeline that is supported by the post-production environment.

The VOD server converts and stores the video content at a storage address in a video content database linked to the title. The title is listed in a location of an electronic program guide (EPG) using the same categories and subcategories as in its hierarchical address. Any TV subscriber can access the EPG and navigate through its categories and subcategories to find a title for viewing on the TV. This can enable many new blogging or podcasting-like programs by popular “Hosts” to be self-published on the Internet and readily navigated for display on TV. The EPG can also store TV program addresses as bookmarks and allow them to be shared with other subscribers or with friends and contacts online by sending to their email addresses.

An input is received via the control, the input including an indication of a selection of a location in the texture strip, the location in the texture strip having a corresponding temporal location in the series of frames. Based on the input, a frame selected from the series of frames is displayed in the video display, the selected frame located at the corresponding temporal location in the series of frames.

For example, a computer-implemented method may include receiving, at a display of a user media device, an indication that a user of the media device intends to generate a user video in an environment; generating, by the user media device, data associated with the environment using a sensor of the user media device; determining, by the user media device, a purpose for the user video using the data associated with the environment; presenting, at the display, a set of screenplays for the user video, wherein the set of screenplays is determined based on the duration, the purpose, and the data associated with the environment; receiving, at the display, an input from the user indicating a selected screenplay from the set of screenplays, wherein the selected screenplay is associated with a set of storyboards; displaying, at the user media device, a first storyboard of the set of storyboards, wherein the first storyboard is overlaid onto a user video stream generated by the user media device; receiving, at the user media device, an additional video stream generated by an additional network device; and generating, by the user media device, the user video using the user video stream or the additional video stream. The above steps may be implemented as instructions stored in a computer-readable medium, computer program product, or device such as a television receiver, or in other types of embodiments.

摘要： The described methods, systems, and computer program products enable media composition editors to tag compositional objects with editorial rendition rules that specify how rendering decisions are to be made and how source media assets are to be selected and processed to generate an output rendering of a media composition that adheres to the editor's rendition-related choices. The editorially-specified rendition rules include spatial-type rules, temporal-type rules, and color-type rules, and generally pertain to the spatial, temporal, and color ranges and resolutions to be included within a rendition. When a rendition of a media composition is to be generated, a rendition engine interprets and applies the editorial rendition rules to generate and output the rendition in accordance with rendition parameters supplied to the rendition engine by a rendition profile, and, in some cases, by the media composition and the source media assets.
