摘要： The present invention relates to polyalkylene imine based polymers, which have aliphatic polyester groups attached to the polyalkylenimine backbone via an carboxamide group. The novel polymers are particularly useful as dispersants for pigments, in particular as dispersants for pigments in non-aqueous compositions. The polyalkylene imine based polymers are characterized by having a) a polyalkylene imine backbone; b) at least one aromatic moiety P.1, which is bound to a nitrogen atom of the polyalkylene imine backbone via an carboxamide or carboximide group; and c) at least one aliphatic polyester moiety P.2, which is bound to a nitrogen atom of the polyalkylene imine backbone via an carboxamide group.

摘要： The instant invention is a coating composition, a coated article, and method forming such coated articles. The coating composition comprises (a) a dispersion; and (b) a crosslinker. A coated article comprises a substrate comprising cellulosic materials; and at least one or more coating layers present on at least one or more surfaces of the substrate. The one or more coating layers may be derived from a coating composition comprising (a) a dispersion; and (b) a crosslinker. The dispersion comprises at least one or more base polymers selected from the group consisting of an ethylene-based thermoplastic polymer, a propylene-based thermoplastic polymer, and mixtures thereof; at least one or more stabilizing agents; and a fluid medium. The method of forming a coated article comprises the steps of (1) selecting a substrate comprising cellulosic materials; (2) selecting a coating composition comprising (a) a dispersion comprising at least one or more base polymers selected from the group consisting of an ethylene-based thermoplastic polymer, a propylene-based thermoplastic polymer, and mixtures thereof; at least one or more stabilizing agents; and a fluid medium; and (b) a crosslinker; (3) applying said coating composition to at least one or more surfaces of said substrate; (4) removing a at least a portion of the water; and (5) thereby forming said coated article.

The coating composition includes polymerization products of organic monomers and a nanoparticulate dispersion of inorganic components, which are associated through covalent or coordinate bonds with the polymer such that there is homogenous integration and association of the modified inorganic component with the organic fraction in the polymer latex which increases abrasion properties of the coating composition. Additionally, the composition discloses additives in the form of polyfunctional amines which provide superior qualities of moisture proofing, water repellence and early rain resistance to enhance durability of the product. The present invention also includes processes and methods of preparing the hybrid polymer latex for coating composition.
