    • A device for transforming thermoplastic matrix composite materials or thermosetting materials, includes two mold casings that are mobile relative to each other, electrically conductive, and include a molding zone designed to be in contact with the material to be transformed.     • Tempering methods are provided for performing a defined, particularly cyclical thermal treatment of small amounts of liquid on substrates. One or several amounts of liquid are applied to a substrate. The substrate is brought in thermal contact with heating apparatus that is started during heating phases of the thermal treatment. A thermally conductive element having thermal capacity greater than or equal to the sum of thermal capacities of the amounts of liquid, substrate and at least part of the heating apparatus in thermal contact with the substrate, is brought in thermal contact with the substrate or the heating apparatus during cooling phases of the thermal treatment. Thermal contact between the thermally conductive element and substrate is interrupted and the heating apparatus started during heating phases of the thermal treatment. A tempering method in which substrates having integrated heating are used as well a tempering device suitable for carrying out these methods, are also provided.

    • An installation for cross-linking an insulation layer or semiconductor layer of a cable, which is being produced and which passes through a reaction chamber filled with hot inert gas under pressure, provides that the conductor or conductors, as they progress through the reaction chamber and, accordingly, as the cross-linking progresses, are heated more strongly by inductive heating. Due to this measure, the cross-linking, which progresses from the inside and the outside to the center of the insulation layer or semiconductor layer and is associated with an increase in dimensional stability, is utilized for letting the cross-linking proceed more rapidly by increasing the temperature in the interior, that is, in the conductor. In this connection, the increase in dimensional stability of the insulation and/or semiconductor layer, which sets in as the cross-linking progresses, is utilized in order to increase the temperature of the conductor even more. At the end of the cross-linking zone, a degassing zone is created by a further increase in temperature. In this degassing zone, a rapid escape of gas from the cable in a relatively short segment of the reaction chamber is brought about by inductive heating of the conductor or conductors.
