摘要： A system and method for controlling the output power of a heat source. The system includes a user interface so that a user may select the power required from the heat source, a power supply, and a controller that receives a rectified signal having a work ratio that corresponds to a nominal voltage of an alternating voltage signal corresponding to a phase of a power supply. The controller is configured to control the output power of the heat source in accordance with the power selected by the user, and modifies, if necessary, the work cycle of a power signal linked to the heat source in accordance with the work ratio in order to compensate possible differences in the nominal voltage between different power supplier.

An operating shaft is operably coupled to the rotational regulating valve and to the electromagnetic safety valve and is rotatable between angular positions corresponding to the closed and open positions of the rotational regulating valve and is axially translatable between axial positions corresponding to the closed and open positions of the valve member of electromagnetic safety valve, axial translation of the operating shaft is not permitted when the angular position of the operating shaft corresponds to an open position of the rotational regulating valve.

In one implementation the heater includes a gas burner adapted to receive one of a first type of gas or of a second type of gas with a first pilot burner intended to receive the first type of gas and a second pilot burner intended to receive the second type of gas. A first temperature sensor is located adjacent the first pilot burner and a second temperature sensor is located adjacent the second pilot burner. A normally closed thermal switch is coupled to the first temperature sensor and located in the electrical flow path between a voltage source and a gas control valve actuator, the thermal switch configured to open when the temperature detected by the first temperature sensor exceeds a predetermined temperature indicative that the second type of gas is being delivered to the first pilot burner.
