    • A remote communication method is provided. A service end generates a communication message. The service end attaches a first data to the communication message. The first data denotes a content of a first message which comprises a parameter. The service end attaches a second data to the communication message. The second data denotes a content of a second message which is used for substituting the parameter of the content of the first message and for restoring a content of an original message. The service end transmits the communication message containing the first data and the second data to the user end.

    • A pilot power setting method and a femtocell using the same are disclosed. The pilot power setting method is for using in a femtocell which is operated in a closed mode to provide service to a user equipment (UE). The method includes the following steps. A communication link connecting the UE and the femtocell is established. A command is provided to the UE, which returns n items of path loss information to the femtocell in a pre-determined period according to the command, wherein n is a natural number which is greater than 1. A maximum path loss information between the UE and the femtocell is obtained from the n items of path loss information in the pre-determined period. A predicted pilot power is obtained according to the maximum path loss information. A pilot power of the femtocell is set according to the predicted pilot power.

    • A power control method performing a power control operation between a radio network controller and a node B is provided. The method includes steps of: calculating a packet error rate threshold and a base received packet count according to a target block error rate (BLER) and a precision of the target BLER; obtaining an accumulated received packet count and an accumulated packet error count; increasing a target signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) of the node B when the accumulated packet error count is greater than a product of the accumulated received packet count and the packet error rate threshold; decreasing the target SIR when the accumulated received packet count is greater than or equal to a product of the base received packet count and a threshold parameter; and resetting the accumulated received packet count and the accumulated packet error count after the target SIR is adjusted.

    • A bandwidth control method is provided. A router is provided to establish a network connection to a remote apparatus. The remote apparatus is allocated with a downlink bandwidth for servicing the gateway. A plurality of downlink packets are received by the gateway. In response to reception of the downlink packets, the gateway transmits a plurality of uplink packets to the remote apparatus to allow the remote apparatus to transmit more downlink packets to the gateway after the remote apparatus acknowledges reception of the uplink packets. A transmission rate of the uplink packets is limited within an uplink threshold by the gateway so that a transmission rate of the downlink packets is smaller than the downlink bandwidth allocated to the remote apparatus. The uplink threshold is determined based on the downlink bandwidth.

    • A power control method applied to a radio network controller (RNC), a node B and a user equipment is provided. The method include steps of: determining a target block error rate; identify an initial signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) from a history look-up table (LUT) according to the target block error rate; estimating a measured block error rate between the RNC and the node B via the RNC; adjusting the initial SIR with reference to the measured block error rate and the target block error rate to generate an updated SIR; and controlling a signal transmission power of the user equipment with reference to the updated SIR via the node B.

    • A method for processing user equipment (UE) connection under a mixed mode and a femtocell system are provided. The method for processing UE connection is used in a femtocell for processing the connection of a UE. The method includes the following steps. A connection request is received from a low priority UE under a mixed mode. Whether the measurement results corresponding to the femtocell satisfy threshold settings is determined in response to the connection request, wherein the measurement results include a path loss corresponding to the femtocell. If the measurement results satisfy the threshold settings, then the low priority UE is allowed to be connected to the femtocell. In one embodiment, suitable resource allocation, such as the allocation of power and code resource, is provided after the low priority UE is connected to the femtocell under the mixed mode.
