摘要： A portable liquid dispensing station for outdoor use in cold temperatures comprises a housing defining a base for resting on a support surface and enclosed interior thereover, at least one liquid storage tank supported inside the housing for containing unused liquid, a pump supported inside the housing in fluidic communication with the tank for conveying the unused liquid under pressure to a downstream location, a liquid dispensing device supported externally of the housing but in downstream fluidic communication with the tank for selectively releasing the liquid, a basin supported externally of the housing for collecting the released liquid, and a collection tank in fluidic communication with the basin to collect the used liquid for storage and which is supported inside the housing. The liquid dispensing device, the basin and the collection tank are heated and the air inside the housing is also heated to prevent the liquid from freezing.

摘要： Weed seeds are destroyed in the chaff from a combine harvester by repeated high speed impacts caused by a rotor mounted in one of a pair of side by side housings which accelerate the discarded seeds in a direction centrifugally away from the rotor onto a stator including angularly adjustable stator surfaces around the axis. Thus the discarded seeds rebound back and forth between the rotor and the stator to provide a plurality of impacts. The seeds are carried axially of the rotor by a controlled airstream so that they move to an axial discharge location where a discharge fan is mounted. The angle of the discharge around the rotor axis can be changed to direct the seeds to the side of the combine away from a straw chopper, towards the guide fins of the tailboard of the chopper, or into the housing of the straw chopper.

摘要： A traffic control device, for a roadway receiving vehicles travelling longitudinally along the roadway, includes a housing, which may be formed in two or more modular sections, mounted transversely across the roadway. A frame comprised of a shaft supporting tire puncturing members thereon is rotatable within the housing between stored and working positions for selectively puncturing tires. In modular embodiments, the shaft of each module includes a joiner plate supported at one end of the shaft to enable rigid connection between the shafts of adjacent modules. In some embodiments, offset counterweights are coupled to the frame to bias the tire puncture members towards the working position, and an upper stop member on the housing, formed of resilient material, is engaged by the frame in the working position and is adjustable in height to control position of the tire puncturing members in the working position.

摘要： A portable animal loading chute includes a floor and side walls for transferring animals from the ground to a higher semi-trailer and smaller lower trailer for transportation. The whole chute including both the base and side walls move upwardly and downwardly to the height of the vehicle. What we did is make the angle of the loading chute is designed at half way between both heights so that a triangular gap is formed as the end faces of the side walls are not vertical and do not meet the vertical walls at the ground and trailer. Thus a small rectangular panel is mounted at each end of each side wall that can pivot to adjust to give the final required angle for to meet the vertical walls at the respective height.

摘要： A concrete slab underlayment product is used at an excavation area at which a concrete foundation slab is to be poured. The underlayment combines a vapour barrier layer with a set of foam insulation bodies. The vapour barrier layer spans fully over the entire set of foam insulation bodies, which are spaced apart from one another at least at lower ends thereof opposite the vapour barrier layer. This leaves drainage/air spaces open between the foam insulation bodies when laid in an installed position atop the floor of an excavated area. In use under a concrete slab, the vapour barrier layer forms a gas and moisture barrier, and the foam insulation bodies and the drainage/air spaces therebetween form a combination of void spaces, drainage channels and insulation blocks between the concrete slab and the floor of the excavation area.

摘要： Novel airway devices and methods address complications of ventilating a patient with a mask; placing an endotracheal tube in an awake patient; and need for a bite block during flexible bronchoscopy and gastroscopy. The airway device features notches for engaging maxillary and mandibular teeth in a manner protracting the patient's mandible relative to the maxilla to open up the airway. This way, an open airway is easily maintained simply by holding the jaw closed against the device with the same hand used to operate a bag ventilator. A longitudinal channel in the device features a downwardly curved end wall for improved guidance of the endoscope into position. The channel is open sided at the top or bottom to allow rolling of the airway device off the endoscope into an offset position serving as a protective bite block and allowing feeding of the endotracheal tube along the endoscope.

摘要： A two-part aortic annular support system for supporting an aortic annulus during aortic valve repair procedures for prevention of further annular dilation. The first part comprises a composite annular ring that is positionable from within an aortic valve into the left ventricular outflow tract at the level of annular plane. The composite ring comprises a semi-rigid section and a resiliently deformable section. The semi-rigid section is shorter in length than the deformable section. The deformable section is extendible into a commissure of the aortic valve. The second part is a resilient band that is positionable external to the aortic root. The resilient band is securable to the composite ring through the aortic annulus by suturing. The present disclosure also relates to a use of the aortic annular support system and a method of inserting and securing the aortic annular support system during a surgical intervention.
