摘要： An endoscopic surgical instrument includes a main body assembly, and a cannula having a lumen and formed with a slot. An inner tube, which houses a spring-biased retractable cutting blade assembly having a cutting blade, is mounted on one end of the main body assembly and extends axially therefrom. The tube is receivable within the lumen of the cannula, and may be particularly oriented within the cannula lumen such that the cutting blade may be caused to project from both the tube and the cannula slot. The inner tube has a bore in which the distal end of an endoscope may be received. The instrument may be locked in one position to allow the endoscope to engage the blade assembly and cause the cutting blade to project from the cannula slot during a tissue cutting procedure, or may be locked in another position wherein the cutting blade remains retracted.

In a method for operating an absorption heat pump with an operating circuit comprising an adsorber, an evaporator and a condenser or an evaporator/condenser and an operating medium which is circulated between the adsorber, the evaporator and the condenser, the operating medium is mixed, when running through the operating circuit, within the liquid half-circuit with a liquid functional medium which lowers the vapor pressure, and the operating medium is separated from the functional medium before the transfer into the gaseous half-circuit of the operating circuit.

Multiple horizontal flat compartments can be stuck on top of each other and onto the top and the bottom of the compartment layer with vertical tall sub-compartments using fastening mechanism at the top and bottom peripheral edges.

摘要： An overvoltage protection device has a plurality of overvoltage arresters and a disconnecting apparatus. 摘要： A computerized system enables teachers and students to collaborate in the solutions of STEM problems. The system includes a communications network linking a teacher computer, one or more student computers, and at least one computer-readable storage medium. Each of the computers includes an input device for receiving input via the input device and a screen for displaying the input. The computers are operatively linked and each of their screens forms a virtual shared whiteboard defining a common work page upon which input from each computer is received and displayed. Input received from each computer interacts mathematically with input received from each other computer in the network and the interactions are displayed on each screen. The input and interactions form a collaborative solution to STEM problems. When prompted, the storage medium records and plays back the solutions to the STEM problems on each screen for subsequent assessment of student performance.

摘要： An endoscopic surgical blade is disclosed. The blade is of a hook design, having an upper cutting surface located on the trailing edge of an arm and a lower cutting surface on the upper edge of the main body of the blade. The blade is part of an endoscopic knife assembly which also contains a knife tube and alignment ring. The endoscopic knife assembly is for use in endoscopic surgery by insertion of the assembly through a slotted cannula. The knife tube is hollow and allows the insertion of an endoscope for viewing of the surgical procedure. A method for a performing an operative procedure on a target tissue in a subject using an endoscopic knife assembly having a hook blade is also described.

摘要： A forced-entry resistant sash lock includes a housing, a shaft pivotally mounted to the housing, a cam mounted on the shaft using an elongated opening permitting selective rotational and translational movements, and a separation member secured to the shaft. In the unlocked position, upon shaft rotation in a first direction a cam surface on the separation member engages a follower surface on the cam causing co-rotation of the cam into a non-forced entry-resistant locked position, and upon continued rotation the cam surface moves relative to the follower surface causing cam translation into a forced-entry-resistant locked position through movement of the shaft within the elongated opening, until an engagement surface of the separation member engages a contact surface of the cam, preventing forced reverse cam translation. The cam translation causes a cam stop surface to engage a housing stop surface preventing forced cam counter-rotation.

摘要： A tamper-resistant sash window lock includes a housing, a shaft, a cam, and a lever member. An interior surface of the housing wall that defines a cavity. A portion of the interior surface of the housing wall is curved about a hole in the housing, with a distal end of the wall portion formed into a lock surface. The shaft is rotatably mounted in the hole, and a hub of the cam is rotatably mounted on the shaft. The cam has a cantilevered arm with a lock surface and an engagement surface. The lever member is fixedly secured to the shaft, for a first side thereof to engage and drive the cam hub in a first rotational direction into a lock position when the shaft is actuated in the first rotational direction, so the lock surface of the cantilevered arm engages the lock surface of the housing preventing forced entry.
