摘要： The present technology addresses the problem of quickly and safely improving policies in online reinforcement learning domains. As its solution, an exploration strategy comprising diverse exploration (DE) is employed, which learns and deploys a diverse set of safe policies to explore the environment. DE theory explains why diversity in behavior policies enables effective exploration without sacrificing exploitation. An empirical study shows that an online policy improvement algorithm framework implementing the DE strategy can achieve both fast policy improvement and safe online performance.

The next step is analyzing the combination of the first view of the object in at least two dimensions, the motion vector, and the ordered set of two dimensional images to determine at least a second view of the object; generating a three dimensional representation of the ordered set of two dimensional images on the basis of at least the first view of the object and the second view of the object. Finally, the method involves providing indicia of the three dimensional representation as an output.

摘要： Post-copy is one of the two key techniques (besides pre-copy) for live migration of virtual machines in data centers. Post-copy provides deterministic total migration time and low downtime for write-intensive VMs. However, if post-copy migration fails for any reason, the migrating VM is lost because the VM's latest consistent state is split between the source and destination nodes during migration. PostCopyFT provides a new approach to recover a VM after a destination or network failure during post-copy live migration using an efficient reverse incremental checkpointing mechanism. PostCopyFT was implemented and evaluated in the KVM/QEMU platform. Experimental results show that the total migration time of post-copy remains unchanged while maintaining low failover time, downtime, and application performance overhead.

摘要： A superconducting memory cell includes a magnetic Josephson junction (MJJ) with a ferromagnetic material, having at least two switchable states of magnetization. The binary state of the MJJ manifests itself as a pulse appearing, or not appearing, on the output. A superconducting memory includes an array of memory cells. Each memory cell includes a comparator with at least one MJJ. Selected X and Y-directional write lines in their combination are capable of switching the magnetization of the MJJ. A superconducting device includes a first and a second junction in a stacked configuration. The first junction has an insulating layer barrier, and the second junction has an insulating layer sandwiched in-between two ferromagnetic layers as barrier. An electrical signal inputted across the first junction is amplified across the second junction.
