摘要： A system and method for identifying presence of digital ghosting artifacts in videos is disclosed. The method comprises estimating a blending parameter (α) for a current image using a previous image and a next image of a digital video stream. Successively, a blended image (B) is created by mixing contents of the previous image and the next image based on the estimated blending parameter (α). Thereafter, a first similarity is computed between the blended image (B) and a de-interlaced image (C), based on a Normalized Cross Correlation (NCC) between multiple blocks of the blended image (B) and the de-interlaced image (C). Successively, a second similarity is computed between the blended image (B) and the de-interlaced image (C), based on values of standard deviation of an absolute difference frame determined between the blended image (B) and the de-interlaced image (C). The de-interlaced image (C) is finally identified to comprise digital ghosting artifact based on values of the first similarity and the second similarity.

摘要： A method and a communication receiver have been described for calculating log-likelihood ratios in a communication receiver. The log-likelihood ratio is calculated for each bit of one or more subsymbols of each of the one or more spatial streams by computing effective noise on one or more spatial streams after considering noise terms resulting from MIMO detection estimates of the subsymbols on each spatial stream. Finally, signal to noise ratio is determined for one or more spatial streams from the effective noise and scaling bit log-likelihood ratios with the signal to noise ratio.

摘要： Example embodiments of a time division duplex (TDD) Wavelength Division Multiplex Passive Optical Network (WDM PON) architecture using passive optical splitters are disclosed herein. The disclosed TDD WDM PON includes fixed wavelength optical transmitters in an Optical Line Termination system with tunable receiver colorless Optical Network Units (ONUs) that reuse the downstream CW light to carry upstream data. The same wavelength may be used for downstream and upstream transmissions on a single fiber in the ODN. In this architecture, the number of ONUs may be greater than the number of transmitters at the OLT, allowing for a highly scalable system with capacity for growth. An example embodiment of the disclosed system uses Arrayed Waveguide Grating (AWG) or WDM filters at the OLT and a passive optical splitter in the field.

摘要： An integrated circuit that communicates with a host device via audio channels includes an interfacing circuit that receives and transmits analog signals on the audio channels. Such audio channels are designed for audio speakers and microphones and the interfacing circuit transmits digital data based on the received analog signals. The integrated circuit includes a processing device that is electrically coupled to the interfacing circuit. The processing device receives the digital data from the interfacing circuit and adjusts at least one parameter of the interfacing circuit based on the received digital data. The interfacing circuit receives the digital data from the processing device and transmits analog signals on at least one of the audio channels based on the at least one adjusted parameter.
