摘要： Computing devices receive power from multiple fuel cells, consuming natural gas and outputting electrical energy natively consumable by the computing devices. The fuel cells are sized to provide power to a set of computing devices, such as a rack thereof. The computing devices of a failed fuel cell can receive power from adjacent fuel cells. Additionally, the fuel cells and computing devices are positioned to realize thermal symbiotic efficiencies. Controllers instruct the computing devices to deactivate or throttle down power consuming functions during instances where the power consumption demand is increasing faster than the power being sourced by fuel cells, and instruct the computing devices to activate or throttle up power consuming functions during instances where the power consumption demand is decreasing faster than the power being sourced by the fuel cells. Supplemental power sources, supplementing the fuel cells' inability to quickly change power output, are not required.

摘要： Comparisons between two nucleotide sequences can be performed by customized integrated circuitry that can implement a Smith Waterman analysis in a reduced memory footprint, storing and referencing only individual portions, or subsections, of a two-dimensional matrix that is representative of the comparison between the two nucleotide sequences. As the backtracking proceeds, backtracking metadata corresponding to a cell from a subsection that is not currently retained in memory can be required. Such a subsection can be regenerated from previously generated scores associated with checkpoint cells of the two-dimensional matrix that comprise two edges of the subsection being regenerated. Moreover, to further reduce memory consumption, the backtracking metadata stored for each cell can comprise four binary digits: two indicative of a directional assignment, one indicative of whether the corresponding cell is part of a deletion stretching across multiple contiguous cells, and one analogously indicative of insertions stretching across multiple contiguous cells.

摘要： A method and apparatus schedule uplink transmissions with reduced latency. A number of symbols used for UL transmissions in a TTI can be compared to a threshold value of symbols. An indication can be sent from a device on a sidelink channel. The indication can indicate the location of symbols used for an UL transmission when the UL transmission occupies a number of symbols less than the threshold value. Both a sidelink transmission and the UL transmission can be transmitted in the TTI when the UL transmission occupies the number of symbols less than the threshold value. Only the UL transmission can be transmitted in the TTI when the UL signal occupies a number of symbols that are at least the threshold value.

Event summaries may be generated for respective topic clusters. The event summaries may be used to populate timeslots of an information interface, such as a calendar or timeline, to create annotated timeslots. In this way, the information interface may provide users with an interactive view of events over a time period, such as a year-in-review, based upon social media data.

摘要： Fast computer startup is provided by, upon receipt of a shutdown command, recording state information representing a target state. In this target state, the computing device may have closed all user sessions, such that no user state information is included in the target state. However, the operating system may still be executing. In response to a command to startup the computer, this target state may be quickly reestablished from the recorded target state information. Portions of a startup sequence may be performed to complete the startup process, including establishing user state. To protect user expectations despite changes in response to a shutdown command, creation and use of the file holding the recorded state information may be conditional on dynamically determined events. Also, user and programmatic interfaces may provide options to override creation or use of the recorded state information.

A channel matrix can be measured based on the reference signals. The first line of sight channel parameter can be based on transmitting device antenna element spacing. The second line of sight channel parameter can be based on a product of the transmitting device antenna element spacing and a receiving device antenna element spacing. The third line of sight channel parameter can be based on the receiving device antenna element spacing. The at least two line of sight channel parameters can be transmitted to the transmitting device.

A first downlink transmission can be received at a device in a first downlink TTI of a first duration in a first downlink subframe. A second downlink transmission can be received in a second downlink TTI of a second duration in a second downlink subframe. The first downlink TTI and second downlink TTI may not overlap. A first HARQ-ACK feedback and a first HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource can be determined in response to receiving the first downlink transmission in the first downlink TTI. The first HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource can be mapped to REs in a first uplink TTI of a third duration in a first uplink subframe. A second HARQ-ACK feedback and a second HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource can be determined in response to receiving the second downlink transmission in the second downlink TTI. The second HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource can be mapped to REs in a second uplink TTI of a fourth duration in the first uplink subframe. The first UL TTI can include a temporal portion that overlaps the second UL TTI. The first HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource or the second HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource can be selected based on at least the determined second HARQ-ACK feedback. A signal can be transmitted in response to the determined first HARQ-ACK feedback and second HARQ-ACK feedback on the selected HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource on the overlapped portion of first uplink TTI and second uplink TTI in the first uplink subframe.
