    • A surveying instrument include a monopod installed on a reference point and a surveying instrument main body provided on the monopod, wherein the surveying instrument main body includes a measuring direction image pickup module which acquires first image including an object, a distance measuring unit which measures a distance to the object, a measuring direction detecting module which detects a measuring direction, a time detector which generates a reference time signal and an arithmetic control module, the arithmetic control module associates a distance measurement result with the reference time signal, associates a measuring direction with the reference time signal, and associates the first image with the reference time signal, associates an image change, the measuring direction, and a distance measurement result with each other based on the reference time signal, calculates a measuring direction in the distance measurement and determines a position of a measurement part of the object.

    • The invention provides a measuring instrument, which comprises a measuring instrument main unit and an installment base unit for rotatably supporting the measuring instrument main unit in an up-to-bottom direction and in a left-to-right direction, wherein the measuring instrument main unit has a measuring unit for projecting a distance measuring light toward an object to be measured and for performing a distance measurement by receiving a reflected light from the object to be measured, and an attitude detecting device integrally provided with the measuring unit, wherein the attitude detecting device has tilt sensors for detecting a horizontality and relative tilt angle detectors for tilting the tilt sensors and for detecting a tilt angle of the measuring unit with respect to the horizontality under such condition that the tilt sensors detect the horizontality so that the horizontality is detected by the tilt sensors, and wherein the installment base unit has an up-to-bottom motor for rotating the measuring instrument main unit in the up-to-bottom direction, a left-to-right motor for rotating the measuring instrument main unit in the left-to-right direction and a left-to-right angle detector for detecting a rotation angle in the left-to-right direction, and wherein the distance measurement of the object to be measured is performed by the measuring instrument main unit, a vertical angle of a measuring point is determined based on the result of the tilt detection by the attitude detecting device, and a horizontal angle is measured based on the result of the detection by the left-to-right angle detector.

    • The invention provides a surveying instrument, which comprises a horizontal rotating unit and a measuring unit installed on the horizontal rotating unit, wherein the horizontal rotating unit comprises a driving unit for rotating the measuring unit, a horizontal angle detector for measuring horizontal angle data, a first synchronization data generating unit, a first storage unit and a first control unit, the first control unit associates the horizontal angle data with the first synchronization data and stores in the first storage unit, wherein the measuring unit comprises a distance measuring unit for performing a distance measurement, a vertical angle detector for detecting a vertical angle at a time of distance measurement, a second synchronization data generating unit, a second storage unit and a second control unit, the second synchronization data generating unit outputs second synchronization data which indicate timings of a time of acquisition of the distance measurement data and a time of acquisition of the vertical angle data, the second control unit associates the two-dimensional measurement data with the second synchronization data and stores in the second storage unit, and the horizontal angle data and the two-dimensional measurement data can be converted to three-dimensional data based on the first synchronization data and the second synchronization data.

    • The invention provides a surveying instrument, which comprises a protractor table installed via an installation base and capable of detecting a lateral rotation angle and a surveying instrument main unit mounted on the protractor table via supporting mechanisms capable of rotating longitudinally, wherein the supporting mechanisms enables the surveying instrument main unit to set in a predetermined angle condition with respect to the protractor table, wherein the surveying instrument main unit comprises a distance measuring unit which has a light emitting element for emitting a distance measuring light, a distance measuring light projecting unit for projecting the distance measuring light, a light receiving unit for receiving a reflected distance measuring light and a photodetector for receiving the reflected distance measuring light and for producing a light receiving signal, and the distance measuring unit performs a distance measurement of an object to be measured based on the light receiving signal from the photodetector, a control unit for controlling a distance measuring operation, an optical axis deflecting unit, which is provided on an optical axis of the distance measuring light projecting unit and on an optical axis of the light receiving unit, for controlling a deflection of the both optical axes and an attitude detecting unit which has a tilt detecting unit for detecting a horizontal and mechanisms for tilting the tilt detecting unit so that the tilt detecting unit is maintained horizontally, and is configured to detect a tilting amount of the surveying instrument main unit.
