    • There is provided a tube having fine irregularities formed on the outer peripheral face or inner peripheral face. The tube has a hollow tube body made of metal with uniform wall thickness of 20 to 50 μm. The tube is obtained by plastic working through spinning, in which a metallic ring-shaped metal original body (6) is rotated together with a rotation support body (3) about the center axis of the metal original body (6), while being pressed by a top or tops (5) disposed on the outer periphery of the metal original body (6). Fine irregularities (12) are formed on the outer peripheral face or the inner peripheral face of the metal tube at a substantially fixed interval. Both ends of the metal original body (6) worked by spinning are cut to yield a tube (11).

    • In order to sharpen and harden a corner portion of a score line edge portion of an iron golf club having a plurality of score lines on a face surface within a prescribed range, heat input is implemented on an edge portion of a groove through laser irradiation after the groove is machined and, as a result, the edge portion is hardened and melted to form a rounded corner R. The hardness is set at a Vickers hardness value (HV) of at least 350. The corner R forms a part of a contour line of the edge portion and this contour line is formed to exist between a first circle that contacts the face surface and a side surface of the groove and has a radius of 0.010 inches (0.254 millimeters) and a second circle that is concentric with the first circle and has a radius of 0.011 inches (0.2794 millimeters).

    • An iron golf club for enhancing the gear effect and accelerating backspin of a ball. The head, which comprises a face part having a ball-hitting surface, a sole part having a ground-contact plane in the bottom portion of the head, a top part, and a hosel part, is configured such that the rigidity on the ground-contact plane side of the bottom portion is lowered by either providing the portion with a cavity or changing its material. Further, the vertical moment of inertia of the head is reduced by disposing a weight in the location of the center of gravity of the head. When the length of the hosel part is 50 mm or longer, the value of the moment of inertia becomes less than 800 g·cm2, and when the length of the hosel part is less than 50 mm, the value of the moment of inertia becomes 750 g·cm2 or less. These configurations realize a golf club that enhances the gear effect and accelerates spin of a ball.

    • An iron or putter golf club head which enables the enlarging of a sweet area. In a peripheral portion of a back 2a of a head body 11a made of titanium alloy is formed an embedding groove 13a. Into the embedding groove 13a is press-fitted a balance weight 12a of beryllium copper alloy. The balance weight 12a has an integral extention 16a extending down to a sole of the head body 11a. After the press-fitting process, a cavity 18a is formed in an area of the back 2a surrounded by the balance weight 12a by milling. Owing to the annular balance weight and the cavity provided at the back 2a, the weight distribution of the head is capable of being greatly concenterated on the peripheral portion of the head. In addition, the above extension 16a enables the lowering of the center of gravity of the head body 11a, thus providing a golf club head with which balls are capable of being easily controlled.
