摘要： A fiber splice cassette includes a main chassis, a removable cover, splice sleeve holders, and four cable clamp boots. The main chassis forms a cavity having a plurality of cable organizing tabs for cable management. Splice sleeve holders are located in the cavity of the main chassis, each of the splice sleeve holders being selectively removable from a corresponding splice sleeve holder nest and being configured for specific splicing capabilities while maintaining the structural strength of the holders. The splice sleeve holder nests may be selectively and removably attached to an interior surface of the fiber cable enclosure via a variety of means to allow the splice sleeve holder nests to be easily rotated, relocated, or accessed for maintenance.

摘要： A termination mechanism for reducing the force required by a user to terminate a plurality of wires by staggering the moment in which each wire of the plurality of wires encounters a respective insulation displacement contact (IDC) when connecting twisted-pair cables to an RJ45 connector includes a wire manager including a first and second groupings of wire manager slots; the first and second groupings of wire manager slots being at different depths relative to the respective IDCs; and wherein selective force applied by the user to the wire manager in the direction of the PCB causes a first stage of termination wherein each IDC of a first plurality of the IDCs is electrically connected with a corresponding wire of the plurality of wires in the first grouping of wire manager slots and continued selective force causes a second stage of termination in the second grouping of wire manager slots.

摘要： A fiber optic connector for use with a fiber optic network having at least one predetermined operating wavelength is provided. First housing contains at least one optical fiber. The optical fiber has a free end forming a physical contact. The physical contact is coated with a protective film. The optical thickness of the protective film is at least 0.10 of the operating wavelength of the fiber optic network. Preferably, the physical contact is thermally shaped. Also preferably, the optical fiber is attached to a quick connect device forming a termini. The physical contact of the optical fiber can be readily coated with the protective film by placing the termini in a vacuum chamber.

摘要： A jack assembly includes a top face and a bottom face defining a cavity there between for receiving a plug. The jack assembly includes a printed circuit board extending between the top and bottom faces of the jack assembly. At least one spring contact is connected to the printed circuit board and extends into the cavity. The spring contact defines a flexible curvature along a length of the spring contact, and the printed circuit board connects to the jack assembly at a pivot point allowing for angular rotation of the printed circuit board within the cavity. The angular rotation allows the jack assembly to absorb stress forces on the spring contacts. Secondary springs may be included in the jack assembly to further absorb spring contact stress forces.
