摘要： A floating device having active stabilization and a method for actively stabilizing a floating device employs a floating device that operates underwater and which may be tethered to the floor of the body of water. The floating device having active stabilization includes an internal sensor assembly which measures angular velocity and generates a real time output corresponding to a measured angular velocity and a counter-rotation assembly which generates in real time mechanical energy in the form of rotation in response to the real time output of the sensor assembly that causes a counter-rotation torque on the device body that opposes the measured angular velocity. The counter-rotation torque may be imparted by accelerating a flywheel as a reaction wheel in the opposite direction of the desired counter-rotation torque, thereby achieving stability of the device body in the form of minimizing rotation.

摘要： A system and method are provided for receiving light that has traveled from an optical source through an atmosphere along a distance. The system includes: a receiver lens system having an aperture and being arranged to receive the light from the optical source; a beam splitter; an imaging lens; an image processing component; a photodetector system; and a refractive index structure parameter component. The photodetector system outputs data associated with averaged scintillation data of the aperture. The image processing component generates a normalized covariance curve based on a first portion of the received light. The refractive index structure parameter component generates a refractive index structure parameter, Cn2, of the atmosphere along the distance based on the data associated with averaged scintillation data of the aperture and the normalized covariance curve.

摘要： A radar pulse generator includes a multiplexer, a polyphase synthesizer, a first signal channel and a second signal channel. The multiplexer has a baseband radar pulse input, a multiplexer control input, a first channel output and a second channel output. The baseband radar pulse input signal is a single channel baseband radar pulse signal. The multiplexer control input signal selects one of the group consisting of the first channel output and the second channel output. The polyphase synthesizer synthesizes the first channel output signal, synthesizes the second channel output signal and outputs a desired radar pulse signal based on the synthesized first channel output signal and the synthesized second channel output signal. The first signal channel provides the first channel output signal from the first channel output to the polyphase synthesizer. The second signal channel provides the second channel output signal from the second channel output to the polyphase synthesizer.
