摘要： A musical instrument comprising a mouthpiece and an elongated body, the elongated body comprises a plurality of finger contacts. The finger contacts comprise a first set of contacts arranged such that they may be simultaneously contacted by the little, ring, middle and index finger of the right hand and a second set of contacts arranged such that they may be simultaneously contacted by the little, ring, middle and index finger of the left hand. It further comprises a first thumb contact for contact by the right thumb and a second thumb contact for contact by the left thumb. The instrument comprises a tone generator controlled by the plurality of contacts, such that a first set of successive half tones is generated under control of the second set of contacts when the first thumb contact is operated, a second set of successive half tones is generated under control of the first set of contacts when the second thumb contact is operated, a third set of successive half tones is generated under control of the second set of contacts when the first thumb contact is freed; and a fourth set of successive half tones is generated under control of the first set of contacts when the second thumb contact is freed.

The light transceiver 140 being configured to transmit a light signal to a hammer 120 to measure a hammer velocity, receive a reflected light signal from the hammer 120 indicative of the velocity of the hammer 120 and send an electrical signal to the processing circuitry 160, where the electrical signal is based on the reflected light signal from the hammer 120. The processing circuitry 160 being configured to receive and process the electrical signal so that a time interval between the electrical signal passing through a first trigger point and a second trigger point and the velocity of the hammer 120 can be determined.

摘要： A musical keyboard touch sensor pad having a plurality of integrated sensors disposed in an array is disclosed. The plurality of integrated sensors represents a keyboard key. A processor is electronically coupled to the plurality of integrated sensors. The processor is programmed to receive signals from several of the plurality of integrated sensors and to generate a sound signal based on input from the several of the plurality of integrated sensors. The output is variable based on the number in the plurality and the location of the plurality in the array. An audio output device is electronically coupled to the processor to generate a sound based on the sound signal. A keyboard using a plurality of the sensor pads as well as a method of generating sounds from the keyboard are also disclosed.

摘要： Musical instruments are circumscribed to their physical boundaries. They produce sound through vibrations at different frequencies constraint by the instruments themselves. The representation of these frequencies, rather than geometrical and mathematically simple, is the result of very complex vibration patterns.Some instruments get away with arranging individual notes to the player's convenience by the inclusion of multiple individual instruments within one body. The piano is a prominent example of an instrument with manipulated note architecture. It has an individual musical instrument for each sound although still circumscribed to a common body with its sound implications. However it follows a chromatic pattern, including consecutive series of each musical note according to its pitch rather than taking full advantage of its opportunity to translate the complex frequency behavior of notes into geometrical, visual patterns.On the other hand, we introduce the Keyboard, an instrument intended to accommodate for the sound of most instruments, but still resembling the pattern of one of them, the piano. Like the piano, still forces players to separate their fingers by predetermined amount of spaces over other keys to obtain basic chords. Moreover, when trying to change the way the chords sound through changing their voicing, the fingers pattern changes widely. Not to mention, this happens even with the use of white keys only; it gets much more complicated when the black keys are incorporated into the musical play.At present, there has been a tendency for technology and games to providing for people to feel like they are playing musical instruments, to mention, Guitar Hero, Wii Music, etc. People are eager to try these games as within most people there is a desired of understanding music and musical instruments but find themselves incapable of learning and developing instrument specific musical skills, especially as time goes by.New Board of Keys patterns are proposed. These key patterns prioritize on the visualization and building of chords. Although with similitude to the keyboard in the sense of providing for pressing individual keys and to the guitar in the sense of allowing multiple instances of each particular note, they provide for a simplified way for common people, on instances limited by time or abilities to further developing musical skills to use a visual, simple way of learning and playing music. Moreover, these new boards of keys provide for reapplying learned music patterns for any given key to every single music key, a feature rarely found in musical instruments.

摘要： A switch is constituted by a movable conductive portion and a pair of fixed conductive portions. The fixed conductive portions are arranged on a substrate, and are each constituted by at least one strip member. A first main conductive pattern and a second main conductive pattern are arranged on the substrate in correspondence with the fixed conductive portions. The movable conductive portion electrically shorts the pair of fixed conductive portions upon coming into contact with both of them. The strip members that constitute the fixed conductive portions each have a first end portion and a second end portion in the extending direction, and the end portions are electrically connected to the corresponding main conductive patterns.
