摘要： A method of controlling communications includes at a server determining a current vehicle geographic location, determining a communications channel is available for the vehicle at the determined current vehicle location, dynamically adjusting a maximum transmission unit, MTU, used by the vehicle for communications over the available communications channel based on a predicted optimal MTU determined from a current time and geographic location of the vehicle. The adjusted MTU setting may be dependent on whether a communications comprises a mobile originating, MO, message sent by the vehicle or a mobile terminating, MT, message received by the vehicle, and sending the adjusted MTU for the satellite communications channel to the vehicle. The dynamic adjustment of the MTU increases the data volume which can be communicated between the vehicle and a communications satellite using the respective current or next available satellite-communications channel.

摘要： Technologies for dynamically managing a batch size of packets include a network device. The network device is to receive, into a queue, packets from a remote node to be processed by the network device, determine a throughput provided by the network device while the packets are processed, determine whether the determined throughput satisfies a predefined condition, and adjust a batch size of packets in response to a determination that the determined throughput satisfies a predefined condition. The batch size is indicative of a threshold number of queued packets required to be present in the queue before the queued packets in the queue can be processed by the network device.

摘要： A method is proposed for operating a network with several subscribers in the network. For this purpose, the network has at least one switch (10, 11, 12), at least two terminals and at least one controller. According to the invention, the controller can now communicate with one of the terminals via an application protocol. For this purpose, data is sent and/or received as data packets. In order to be able to schedule the communication, time slots are provided for sending the data packets that are adapted to a maximum possible packet size. For this purpose, the time slots have a start time and an end time so that they can overlap in different branches of the network. To optimize communication time, the packet sizes (5) can be changed. To avoid wasting bandwidth in the network, the time slots are adapted to the packet size accordingly by changing the start times and the end times (6).

摘要： A computing system is configured to execute a computer program on a server and to provide a video stream of the program output to a geographically remote client over a communication network. The computing system is further configured to provide executable content of the computer program to the client over the communication network in parallel with the video stream. When a sufficient amount of the executable content has been provided to the client execution of the computer program is transitioned from the server to the client. The transition optionally includes communicating a state of the computer program from the server to the client. The executable content can be provided to the client in an order that is determined based on the state of the computer program. Those parts of the executable content deemed most likely to be necessary to support game play on the client are given priority.

摘要： The present invention discloses a method carried out by a first communications device for determining performance of a plurality of connections and selecting at least one first connection from the plurality of connections substantially based on performance. Data packets are then transmitted through the at least one first connection. The plurality of connections are aggregated to form an aggregated connection. The determining of performance is performed by transmitting evaluation packets through the plurality of connections. The evaluation packets are based on data packets that are received by the first communication device but have not yet been transmitted through the aggregated connection. The data packets may be designated for a host or node reachable through the aggregated connection. Alternatively, the evaluation packets may be based on predefined information when there are no data packets to be transmitted through the aggregated connection. The performance may be determined periodically.
