The second detection zone can be different than the first detection zone. In preferred embodiments, the first wetness detection mechanism and the second wetness detection mechanism can be configured to sense wetness electronically.

Some systems include a reusable diaper including a sealing apparatus configured keep fluid sealed within the diaper. The sealing apparatus may include one or more elastic members and one or more gussets where one elastic member is threaded through channels of the one or more gussets. Some systems include a reusable diaper and one or more soaker pads configured to be attachable to the reusable diaper. The soaker pads may be of varying sizes and shapes and can be selectively attached to the reusable diaper to effect different absorption volumes and patterns within the diaper. The soaker pads may be received in one or more pockets of the reusable diaper. Some systems include one or more openings to a pocket to allow a user to more efficiently attach and position one or more soaker pads in a reusable diaper.

摘要： An article of clothing can be used to reduce or prevent the occurrence of prolonged skin-on-skin contact, rashes, irritation, intertrigo, infections, discomfort, or chaffing. Such an article of clothing has a moisture management material made up of at least an outer layer, an inner layer, and a tab. The moisture management material is attached to a portion of the article of clothing via a tab of the moisture management material. The moisture management material may be of various shapes and sizes and preferably fits within a prescribed area of the article of clothing. The moisture management material may be variably positioned within the article of clothing to provide differing results such as additional support and/or moisture absorbing or moisture moving where necessary. Preferably the article of clothing is a brassiere but may be a shirt, diaper, pants, socks, panties, or other undergarments.

摘要： A reusable holder for absorbent material for absorbing menstrual flow is made from a liquid permeable inner layer affixed to an outer liquid impermeable layer at the peripheral edges to form a pouch between the two layers. An opening in the inner layer provides access to the pouch so that disposable or reusable absorbent material such as paper or cloth may be placed in the pouch to absorb menstrual flow. After use, the absorbent material may be removed from the pouch via the opening so that the used absorbent material may be disposed of or washed for re-use. Wings extending from the sides of the reusable holder allow the holder to be fastened around an undergarment to keep the holder in place. Alternatively, strings are attached to the reusable holder to allow it to be worn like a g-string.

The sling is joined to the front waist region and the back waist region. The sling includes a fluid-impervious base sheet and a containment flap joined with the base sheet to create a fluid-impervious pouch. The sling also includes a first transition and a second transition that are elastically extensible in a longitudinal direction and in a transverse direction. Material properties of the pouch and chassis provide the proper fit for comfort and leakage protection.

More particularly, the present invention relates to absorbent articles, such as sanitary napkins, that have undergarment covering components (or "side wrapping elements") that automatically wrap the sides of a wearer's panties and provide an alternative to conventional side flaps. The side wrapping elements have at least one zone of extensibility and at a region therein that is stiffer than the zone of extensibility.

The casing (1) includes a front-part (5), a rear-part (10) and an intermediate crotch-part (22) made of flexible casing material. According to the invention, an elastic band (14, 15) is provided on each outer edge of the casing sides, at least within the crotch-part of the casing. The elastic band is attached, in a stretched state, to that side of the casing which lies nearest the skin of the user when the absorbent article is worn, by means of a narrow, elongated join. The elastic bands also include parts which extend transversely in relation to respective joins, in a direction from the joins in towards the central part of the casing.

摘要： A device for incontinent males includes an athletic supporter having a pocket and a disposable insert which fits into the pocket. The athletic supporter includes a waist band which fits around the waist of a user of the device and which helps to hold the pocket adjacent the penis of the user. The disposable insert which is placed in the pocket of the athletic supporter is substantially cylindrical and sized to be received in the pocket of the athletic supporter includes a layer of absorbent material, a waterproof material on the exterior of the layer of absorbent material, and a cavity sized to receive a human penis. The layer of absorbent material preferably includes a first portion which surrounds the cavity and a second portion which extends between the cavity and the second, closed end of the insert, the second portion having a length of between one half and three quarters of the distance between the first, open end of the insert and the second, closed end of the insert. The insert preferably also includes an inner liner which separates the user's penis from the layer of absorbent material so that moisture in the absorbent layer does not come into contact with the user's skin.
