摘要： The present disclosure proposes an improved apparatus and method for counting of sea lice by providing a stable and controlled light environment which ensures counting of sea lice reliably and independent of weather conditions and an optimized spectral power distribution and intensity of the light for improved observation (detectability) of sea lice with respect to fish skin. An embodiment of the disclosed light system comprises multiple LEDs, at least two LEDs providing a light colour with peaks in the range 490-540 nm (Cyan/Green) respectively 620-660 nm (Red).

摘要： A method of reducing ghost in images captured using a capsule endoscope while travelling in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. The captured images contain ghost caused by reflections of multiple light sources by capsule housing of the capsule endoscope. The method derive, from the plurality of images, a ghost model comprising multiple ghost coefficients for relating light energies from the multiple light sources for a given image with ghost signals at multiple pixel locations for the given image. De-ghosted images are generated by compensating the plurality of images using estimated ghost signals based on derived ghost coefficients and the light energies from the multiple light sources. The process of deriving, from the plurality of images, the ghost model comprises removing any sensor gamma or any other non-linearity in pixel values of the plurality of images associated with the light energy.

摘要： Optical non-uniformity correction (NUC) of an active mode image sensor scans a spot over a portion of the sensor's FOV within a frame time so that the net response of the sensor is approximately uniform. Scanning the laser spot simultaneously performs the NUC and provides the illumination of the FOV for imaging the scene. The laser spot is suitably scanned in an overlapping geometrical pattern relative to a line-of-sight of the sensor's imager while modulating a spacing between overlapping laser spots, the size of the spot, a dwell time of the laser spot or the energy of the laser spot or combinations thereof as a function of the scan position of the laser spot so that the laser illumination is inversely proportional to the imager response at the scan position of the laser spot. A liquid crystal waveguide may be used to form and scan the small laser spot over the FOV within the frame time.
