摘要： A drive system is configured to feed a sheet material. The drive system includes a first roller and a second roller. A circumference of the first roller has a first curved profile. A circumference of the second roller has a second curved profile. The first and second rollers are arranged such that, when the sheet material is not located between the first and second rollers, the first curved profile of the first roller contacts the second curved profile of the second roller. The first and second rollers are further arranged such that, when the sheet material is located between the first and second rollers, rotation of at least one of the first and second rollers causes the sheet material to be fed through the drive system.

摘要： A dunnage conversion apparatus for dispensing a cushioning wrap material from a roll of expandable slit sheet material is described. The roll of expandable slit sheet material includes an expandable slit sheet material in an unexpanded state. The expandable slit sheet material is pulled from the roll of expandable slit sheet material and expanded to a pre-expanded state and an expanded state. To expand the expandable slit sheet material and form the cushioning wrap material, a stretching force is applied to the expandable slit sheet material in a stretching direction as it is pulled from the roll of expandable slit sheet material. Accordingly, the dunnage conversion apparatus includes a tensioning device for assisting in the application of such stretching force.

According to some illustrative embodiments, a void fill dispenser is provided that advantageously dispenses unique void fill in a manner not previously possible. In some embodiments, the void fill dispenser is made with a recyclable material, such as, e.g., a corrugated box made from paper. In some embodiments, the void fill dispenser is made with metal and/or other rigid and/or non-recyclable materials. In some embodiments, the void fill dispenser can comprise an automated metal dispensing system that dispenses expanded slit sheet paper particularly for void fill in an automated manner.

摘要： A packing machine and a method of use thereof for packing articles in airbags. The packing machine includes three consecutive stations that can receive airbags in a series of airbags one by one, wherein the article to be packed is placed in the airbag. The first station can receive a new bag containing the article. In the first station, the airbag can be horizontally sealed at the top to close the opening and can then be inflated. In the second station and the third station, the airbag can be vertically sealed and can then be dropped into a conveyor at the end of the third station. An air tube that extends between the first station and the second station can be used to inflate the airbags. Two linear actuators with gripping heads can move the airbags from between stations, and break the leading airbag from the series of airbags.

摘要： A machine for converting a sheet material into a relatively less dense dunnage product includes a forming assembly and a feeding assembly downstream of the forming assembly. The forming assembly is configured to form the sheet material into a tubular shape with lateral edges of the sheet material adjacent one another. A deflector at a downstream end of the forming assembly is configured to engage the lateral edges of the sheet material and to urge the lateral edges into an interior of the tubular shape. This juxtaposes lateral edge portions of the sheet material adjacent the respective lateral edges. A forming channel at a downstream end of the forming assembly faces the deflector to receive the lateral edge portions and shape them into a tab. Finally, the feeding assembly includes rotating connecting members that engage and connect the overlapping lateral edge portions of the sheet material forming the tab.

摘要： A stand-alone apparatus for cutting a web of media or tag stock into individual units for use downstream of a printer. The apparatus may cut vinyl, plastic, or RFID stock material in both back and forth directions. The apparatus comprises a housing, a carriage assembly and a movable cutter assembly. The cutter assembly is easily interchangeable and comprises a cutting element such as a wheel blade, and a pressure adjusting element for adjusting the amount of pressure applied by the cutting element to the stock material. Alternatively, the cutter assembly may be manufactured with a predetermined pressure load, but still permit an operator to adjust the depth of cut. The apparatus may be powered by and or in hardline or wireless communication with a printer, or may further comprise a computer microprocessor, memory and user interface to function wholly independent from a printer.

摘要： An RFID tag manufacturing system is provided that includes a conveyance device that conveys a base sheet provided with a plurality of antenna patterns to each of which an RFIC module is fixed. The system includes a laminating device that attaches a cover seal on the base sheet to cover the antenna patterns and a punching device that produces RFID tags by punching the cover seal and the base sheet with a punching blade that includes a frame-shaped cutting edge surrounding the antenna patterns to form a frame-shaped cut. The base sheet includes alignment mark in a non-attachment part of the cover seal. The punching device specifies the position of each of the antenna patterns covered with the cover seal based on the alignment mark, and punches the cover seal and the base sheet based on the specified position of the antenna pattern.

摘要： A dunnage producing system is disclosed. The system comprises a material feed section configured to feed a sheet stock material into the system to convert it into a dunnage product. The system further comprises a drive belt having a plurality of lugs fixed on the drive belt configured to engage one or more die-cut openings in the sheet stock or roll stock material. The system further comprises one or more folding mandrels and a glue feed section. The folding mandrels capture the engaged sheet stock or roll stock material between the drive belt and folding mandrels. The glue feed section comprises a tank loaded with pre-melted adhesive material, a hose to transfer the pre-melted adhesive material, and a dispensing nozzle to pump the melted adhesive material to the sheet stock material. A controller then receives measurement information and controls the functions of the system to produce dunnage product.

摘要： A device for expanding and dispensing expandable slit sheet paper includes a pair of support members for a roll of expandable slit sheet paper. The roll of expandable slit sheet paper has an interior core member and a roll of expandable slit sheet paper wound on said interior core member. The interior core member has an axial length that is greater than the width of said slit sheet paper that is wound on said interior core member and has end regions that extend beyond the roll of expandable slit sheet paper. Pressure means is provided for pressing a first end region against its core support member and applying a frictional rotation resistance to the core member end region. The roll of expandable slit sheet paper is mounted on the device by positioning one end region under the pressure means and in a support relationship with its core support member while the roll of expandable slit sheet paper is inclined with respect to the device. The other end region is then moved into its supported position with its core support member. An adjustable downward pressure is exerted on the paper core end region and causing the paper core end region to be pressed against its support member as the paper is pulled. The downward pressure creates the friction required to enable the unexpanded slit sheet to be unwind and fed while simultaneously expanding.
