A value of a preload for application to the LSD is also determined. The value of the preload is based on a predicted engine torque and on the speed of the vehicle. A preload is applied to the LSD when the value of the preload is greater than zero.

摘要： A clutch device for a motor vehicle drive train includes an input shaft, a first clutch arranged on the input shaft, a housing wall, a support bearing on the housing wall, an actuating force introduction mechanism, and a first actuating unit. The first clutch has a first clutch component with a carrier and a second clutch component. The first clutch component is directly connected to and axially supported on the input shaft. The actuating force introduction mechanism is rotationally fixed to the first clutch component such that an actuating force which adjusts the first clutch from its open position into its closed position is introduced directly into the input shaft via the carrier and is supported by the input shaft via the support bearing. The first actuating unit is operatively connected to the first clutch and includes a movable actuating bearing arranged to interact with the actuating force introduction mechanism.

Sliding of the first pin draws the first support frame in rotation about the first fulcrum between a first and a second angular position. The mechanism includes a second pedal assembly. The first rotating member is connected to the motor to receive rotary motion. A second rotating member of a second motion conversion mechanism is connected in rotation to the first rotating member through a flexible transmission.

摘要： A transmission includes a selectable one-way clutch with active and passive states. Successful transition from the active state to the passive state is only possible when there is no torque tending to cause overrunning. After commanding a transition from the active state to the passive state, a controller partially engages a first friction clutch to induce a torque tending away from overrunning until a lash crossing is detected. Then, the controller releases the first clutch and partially applies a second clutch to induce a torque toward overrunning. When slip is detected, indicating successful achievement of the passive state, the second clutch is released.

摘要： A pedal emulator (20, 100) is provided. The pedal emulator includes an emulator piston (28, 102) coupled to a damper (46, D1) that is contained within a housing (22, 104). The damper is surrounded by first (34, S1) and second (38, S2) springs that are carried by a lower spring seat (114), the lower spring seat being upwardly biased by a third spring (S3), for example a wave spring. The first and second springs and the third spring cooperate to provide a counter-force that is tailored to the desired feel of the pedal. First and second sensors measure travel (72,74) and force in response to downward compression of the emulator piston, and the damper provides hysteresis upon return travel of the emulator piston. A method comprising: providing a brake pedal emulator (100) including an emulator piston (102), the emulator piston (102) being operatively coupled to a brake pedal, wherein the brake pedal emulator (100) is adapted to provide a first force response during a first portion of travel of the emulator piston (102) and a second force response during a second portion of travel of the emulator piston (102); detecting a sequence of actuations of the brake pedal using the brake pedal emulator (100) for conversion into a selected driver input command; and providing vibratory feedback to the brake pedal using a haptic actuator, the vibratory feedback being in response to the selection of a driver input command.
