摘要： A knuckle pin, coupling system, and method for producing a knuckle pin are provided, the knuckle pin having a cylindrical body with a longitudinal slot therein separating vertical edges of the cylindrical body, with one or more first retaining elements that span outward of the cylindrical body, and a second retainer that includes one or more of opposing apertures, and bendable legs. A method for producing the knuckle pin is provided, where a blank is stamped into a workpiece that corresponds to the pin to be produced, and the stamped workpiece is rolled to produce the pin with the slot.

摘要： An automatic uncoupling mechanism for couplers comprises a coupler knuckle spindle and a driving unit comprising a cylinder body hinged to a coupler body and a telescopic member; and further comprises a first rotating member, a boss and a boss stopper, wherein the first rotating member comprises a crank hinged to the telescopic member and a rotating part being sheathed on the coupler knuckle spindle. The driving unit unidirectionally drives the telescopic member so that the rotating part drives the coupler knuckle spindle to unidirectionally rotate by the contact of the boss with the boss stopper, realizing coupler uncoupling; and, after the driving unit drives the telescopic member to return to its position, the rotation of the coupler knuckle spindle for achieving coupler coupling is not limited by the rotating part. The present application may reduce the lateral force of the coupler knuckle to the driving unit during the uncoupling process of the coupler, and may cause the spring to drive the coupler knuckle to rotate rapidly and lock the coupler during the coupler coupling process.

摘要： A method for semi-automatically reconditioning a railcar articulated connector that comprises a male portion including a parent casting material is provided. The method comprises applying weld material to a male portion of an articulated connector, mounting a housing mounting a housing defining an interior space to the male portion, the male connector within the interior space, centering and stabilizing the fixture laterally on the male portion, inserting a clamping mechanism attached to the housing within an opening of the male connector to affix the housing to the male portion, securing the clamping mechanism to a surface of the male portion, and automatically machining at least a portion of the weld and/or parent casting material.
