摘要： A tailgate assembly includes a talegate and latch assembly. The tailgate is moveable between open and closed positions. The latch assembly includes an actuator, a latch, and a stopper. The actuator is operative to move the latch between an unlatched position where the latch allows movement of the tailgate from the closed position, and a latched position where the latch prevents movement of the tailgate from the closed position. The stopper is responsive to movement in the actuator to move between a nonstopping position and a stopping position. In the stopping position, the stopper prevents the latch from moving from the latched position to the unlatched position other than by the actuator.

摘要： A simplified truck cap handle and lock assembly is provided. Unlike truck cap handle and lock assemblies known in the art, the assembly is comprised of a codeable lock that is disposed in a position that is not perpendicular to the glass access window of the cap. The lock of the present invention is rotated 90° from the perpendicular. Further, the lock is codeable because it is preferably keyed to match other locks and ignition key switch of the vehicle with which the assembly is used. The invention provides a unique locking structure having a number of components that form the assembly. The assembly is easy to use and easy to install in an aftermarket application. Further, the assembly can be easily converted to an electronic actuated version without any retooling of the component parts of the assembly. The assembly provides the user with tactile feedback as to its operation.

摘要： A two step link hood latch apparatus for a vehicle allows a hood to be opened only with an operation of a release handle inside a vehicle. The apparatus includes a claw, the pawl, a pivot, and a link. The claw is disposed at a base plate to be rotatable, restrains a hood striker through a stop groove, and is restrained to a pawl through first and second stop ends in first step and second step lock states. The pawl is disposed at the base plate to be rotatable, and restrains the rotation of the claw in steps by using the stop protrusion. The pivot is disposed at the base plate to be rotatable in a hinge structure, and transmits a pulling force generated from the release handle. The link connects the pivot and the pawl and rotates the pawl in linkage with the pivot.

摘要： A utility vehicle according to the invention includes a cargo bed having a panel locking mechanism. The panel locking mechanism includes a locking lever pivotably supported on a gate-type panel, a substantially U-shaped movable hook made of a spring steel and coupled to a middle of the locking lever, and a stationary hook provided on a panel adjacent to the gate-type panel and with which the movable hook is engageable. When seen from above, the middle portion of the movable hook is pressed onto a surface of the gate-type panel so as to press the gate-type panel inward of the cargo bed by a resilient force upon locking. For example, the movable hook can be formed with a straight portion.
