摘要： A device of or attached to a roller body determines a rotational frequency of the roller body (or other object) rotating about an axis of rotation includes an acceleration sensor that detects an acceleration signal of an acceleration in a first direction extending in a radial or tangential direction to the axis of rotation of the roller body; and an electronic processing unit and configured to low-pass and high-pass, particularly adaptively high-pass filter, the detected acceleration signal, perform a derivation, with respect to time, of the filtered signal, optimize the signal with a subsequent absolute-amount generation and with moving averaging, and ascertain a frequency of the filtered acceleration signal, which corresponds to the rotational frequency of the roller body.

Usage can include distance traveled, optionally associated with particular ranges of speed or road type. In a calibration phase, auxiliary measurements, for instance based on GPS signals, are used to determine a relationship between the vibration signal and usage. In a monitoring phase, the determined relationship is used to infer usage from the vibration signal.

摘要： A method for pairing a measurement module with a wheel of a motor vehicle. The wheel revolution frequency value and the total number of acquisitions are sent with the emission angle value to the computer that stored a current angular position for at least one wheel and a series of angular positions. The computer selects angular positions sampled from a series of angular positions up to a total number of acquisitions, then filters the wheel revolution frequency, which filtering is similar to the filtering performed in the measurement module in order to obtain a sampled and filtered angular position and is then compared with the angular position with, for a difference of less than an experimentally predetermined percentage, a validation of the phase shift between the emission angles of the signals of the measurement module and the angular positions.

The portal box assembly includes: i) a housing having a rear wall, a front wall, and a side wall, wherein the rear wall includes a vehicle axle opening effective to receive the end of said CV axle, and wherein the front wall includes an output shaft opening effective to allow an output shaft to extend outward from the housing; ii) a linking mechanism housed in the housing and effective for linking a CV axle received in the vehicle axle opening to an output shaft; and iii) an output shaft operably connectable via the linking mechanism to the CV axle, and effective to rotate upon rotation of the stock axle.

摘要： Rotational speed of a rotating component is determined using frequency domain vibrational data. A time sequence of vibrational data of the rotating component is sensed and converted to the frequency domain vibrational data. A portion of the frequency domain vibrational data corresponding to an expected rotational speed of the rotating component is identified. A frequency bin index of the frequency domain vibrational data corresponding to a maximum vibration within the portion of the frequency domain vibrational data is identified. The maximum vibration at the identified frequency bin index and vibrations associated with adjacent frequency bin indices are fitted to a model curve. A floating point frequency bin index corresponding to a maximum of the model curve is identified, and the rotational speed of the rotating component is determined based on the frequency bin index corresponding to the maximum of the model curve.

摘要： A vibration analyzer for use in determining a rotational speed. The vibration analyzer includes: a) an input for sensing vibration data, b) a memory for storing the vibrational data, and c) a processor. The processor 1) produces a spectral plot of the vibrational data, 2) locates peaks in the spectral plot, 3) inputs a rotational speed, and 4) scans the spectral plot in predetermined rotational speed increments to provide a candidate rotational speeds. For each candidate rotational speed i) a number of associated harmonics is identified, ii) closest peaks in the spectral plot to the candidate rotational speed and its harmonics are located, iii) gaps between the closest peaks and the candidate rotational speed and its harmonics are measured, iv) summed, and a sum of the gaps is recorded. In step (5) The candidate rotational speed that is associated with a minimum sum is selected as the nominal rotational speed.
