摘要： A current transformer connector (10; 102) for connecting a current transformer of an electrical network to a protection relay via a current transformer data acquisition board (12; 104), is provided. The current transformer connector (10; 102) comprises first and second pairs (14, 20) of first and second current contacts (16, 18, 22, 24), each current contact pair (14, 20) being connectable in use to the current transformer so as to permit current flow from the electrical network through the current contact pairs (14, 20) to the protection relay. Each current contact pair (14, 20) is arranged to be in a short circuit configuration. The first current contact (16, 22) in each current contact pair (14, 20) is arranged to be independently moveable relative to the corresponding second current contact (18, 24) so that during initial insertion of the current transformer data acquisition board (12; 104) into the current transformer connector (10; 102) in use the first current contact (16) of the first current contact pair (14) is configured to separate from the second current contact (18) of the first current contact pair (14) to permit breaking of the short circuit configuration of the first current contact pair (14) and making of an electrical connection between the first current contact pair (14) and the current transformer data acquisition board (12; 104), while the second current contact pair (20) remains in the short circuit configuration. The first current contact (16, 22) in each current contact pair (14, 20) is further arranged to be independently moveable relative to the corresponding second current contact (18, 24) so that during further insertion of the current transformer data acquisition board (12; 104) into the current transformer connector (10; 102) in use the first current contact (22) of the second current contact pair (20) is configured to separate from the second current contact (24) of the second current contact pair (20) to permit breaking of the short circuit configuration of the second current contact pair (20).

摘要： A method for protecting a low-voltage distribution network. The low-voltage distribution network includes a low-voltage side of a three-phase distribution transformer that is configured to supply electrical power to at least one single-phase load through a respective distribution line of a plurality of three-phase distribution lines distribution lines. The method includes measuring variations of a periodic neutral-to-ground voltage between a neutral terminal of the three-phase distribution transformer and a local ground node by sampling the variations at a sampling frequency, detecting a fault in the low-voltage power distribution network based on the variations of the periodic neutral-to-ground voltage, and disconnecting the low-voltage side from the low-voltage power distribution network responsive to the fault being detected.

摘要： A fault detection system that that prevents a recloser from reclosing if a fault is determined to be internal to a transformer, where the recloser is configured to perform a reclosing operation in response to detecting overcurrent. The recloser includes a sensor, such as a light sensor, directed towards the transformer and detecting a fault event. If the recloser detects overcurrent, but the sensor does not detect the fault event, it is assumed that the fault is internal to the transformer and the recloser is prevented from reclosing.

摘要： A ground monitoring tester for an AC power network, the tester comprising: a processor configured to repeatedly conduct impedance measurements of the ground of said AC power network at a point between a neutral reference point and the ground, wherein the processor is configured to conduct the impedance measurements repeatedly at intervals such as between 2 milliseconds and 2 minutes, indefinitely (i.e. without a time limit ending the measurements), whether or not the appliance or system is operational and whether or not there is an indication of a problem in the ground of said AC power network, wherein each of the impedance measurements is based on a voltage differential between a sequence of voltages including a first voltage without an internally generated reference current and a second voltage with an internally generated reference current, and at least one indication output based on the impedance measurements of the ground.

摘要： A transformer simulation system and a measurement method for setting value simulation are disclosed. The transformer simulation system includes an oil tank, a heating device, a pump body, a first oil pipe, a second oil pipe and a first flow sensor. The heating device is disposed in the oil tank. The oil tank is provided with a first inlet and a first outlet, the first outlet is connected to the first oil pipe, and the first inlet is connected to the second oil pipe. An end of the first oil pipe away from the oil tank is a first mounting end for being connected to an oil inlet of a gas relay, and an end of the second oil pipe away from the oil tank is a second mounting end for being connected to an oil outlet of the gas relay. The pump body is connected to the first oil pipe or the second oil pipe, and the first flow sensor is disposed in the first oil pipe. The above-described transformer simulation system can measure the oil flow velocity, that is the setting value of the gas relay, and the type of the insulation oil in the oil tank can be replaced, then the corresponding setting value of the gas relay is obtained, so as to prevent the original gas relay from not playing the role of the protection due to a different property of the insulation oil.

摘要： A pre-fluxing system and method to reduce inrush current for a winding used in a transformer, motor or a solenoid. The system has a primary winding and a tertiary winding connected with a power source for providing electrical energy to these windings. A pre-fluxing circuit is connected to the tertiary winding. The power source provides electrical energy to the tertiary winding via the pre-fluxing circuit, and the pre-fluxing circuit pre-magnetizes the tertiary winding when energized. The tertiary winding is configured to pre-magnetize the primary winding to reduce inrush current when the power source energizes the primary winding.
