摘要： A digital signal recording system capable of a self-clocking and a peak detection. Binary data is represented by bi-level signal pulses which are spaced apart by a time interval which is a positive integral multiple of time interval of clock pulses (referred to as T.sub.0). The width of the signal pulses at their one level is a constant value less than T.sub.0 and where the time spacing between such signal pulses is greater than 2 T.sub.0, a selected number of pseudo pulses having the same pulse width as such signal pulses are inserted between the adjacent signal pulses with a time interval therefrom which is an odd multiple of T.sub.0 /2.

摘要： The present invention provides methods and apparatus for determining the gas permeability of very low permeability subterranean formations as well as the gas permeability reducing effects of injecting one or more treatment fluids thereinto. A gas is injected into a core sample of the formation at a selected substantially constant pressure, and the injection is continued for a long period of time to insure steady state flow conditions. The temperature of the gas as it flows through the core sample and the flow rate of the gas exiting the core sample are measured, and the native state gas permeability of the core sample is calculated therefrom. One or more treatment fluids can be injected into the core sample after the native state permeability is determined. Thereafter, the gas permeability can again be determined and compared to the native state permeability.

摘要： There is disclosed a method for use in a printing system for producing copies or prints in which billing is developed for a customer of the printing system for the produced copies or prints on a basis of a set of accounting information accumulated and stored in an accounting subsystem. The printing system includes an input/output station communicating with the accounting subsystem by way of a network, and the method facilitates the generation of a set of billing/pricing information for transmission to a selected location upon the occurrence of a selected event related to the printing system. The method includes the steps of: a) electronically receiving a subset of the accounting information at the accounting subsystem; b) electronically updating the set of accounting information in response to the electronic receiving of a); c) analyzing the updated set of accounting information to determine if the selected event related to the printing system has occurred; and d) when the selected event related to the printing system has occurred, transmitting automatically the set of billing/pricing information to the selected location.
