摘要	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exhibit an excellent sliding characteristic even in use under a low to high speed/high to low bearing condition by forming plural recessed parts in a sliding layer, and filling a lubricant in these. SOLUTION: A metallic back plate 2 having integrally a porous metallic sintered layer on a steel plate is prepared, and a fluororesin layer is formed in the porous metallic sintered layer. Aromatic polyamide resin paper having plural holes is placed on this to be integrally pressurized to be baked. In this process, the fluororesin layer melts, so that the part is melted and impregnated into the porous metallic sintered layer of the metallic back plate 2 to be integrally anchored to a porous part, and a joining layer is formed on a surface of the sintered layer to be integrally melted and joined to PTFE included in the aromatic polyamide resin paper. A sliding layer 4 of the aromatic polyamide resin paper is formed on the porous metallic sintered layer of the metallic back plate 2, plural recessed parts are formed, and a plural-layer sliding member 1 is obtained by filling a lubricant 6.
