摘要	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lantern formed in a compact shape. SOLUTION: The lantern formed in an approximately cylindrical shape has a lower housing 25 comprising a fuel tank, a shut-off valve and an adjuster. A cover removably provided at a base 27 of the lower housing 25 is located close to a fuel tank. The fuel tank can be refilled through a fuel filling valve at the base. A burner tube 12 joined to the adjuster extends upward beyond the housing. A mantle 23 which is lit by ignition is removably mounted at the upper end of the burner tube. A wholly conical reflector 3 is arranged under the mantle and on the adjuster around the burner tube. A glass globe 1 is arranged around a burner tube/mantle laminate and a ventilator cover is mounted on the globe. The ventilator cover is mounted on a rail 26. The rail extending from both sides of the lower housing is easily removable for accessibility to the mantle.
