The invention discloses a display method for water flow information of a water pipe and a device thereof. An impeller, a coil, a processing chip, a tandem of LED lights arranged in the axial direction, a magnet and an element which can measure the water flow information are arranged in the water pipe; when water enters the water pipe, the water flow drives the impeller to rotate and the impeller drives the coil to rotate correspondingly to the magnet, so that the coil can cut the magnetic line of force to generate the current which can supply electrical energy to the processing chip and the LED light; the processing chip measures the frequency of the alternating current generated and gains the water flow information by the corresponding elements; the impeller rotates so as to drive the tandem of LED lights to rotate, meanwhile, the processing chip drives the on and off of the tandem of LED lights regularly by making use of the measured frequency and the water flow information, so that the pattern is obtained on the rotating cylindrical surface and the pattern can display the water flow information. The mode that the LED lights arranged vertically and horizontally of the original display screen are simplified into one row reduces the cost greatly.
