The invention relates to application of highland barley bran linoleic acid in preparation of a medicine for reducing the content of TC, TG and LDL-C in serum of patients and increasing the content of HDL-C. The highland barley bran linoleic acid can be used as a raw material of a blood cholesterol regulator as well as a therapeutic agent and a preventive for arteriosclerosis in the medical industry.
