The invention relates to an electromagnetic switch with a lock mechanism, comprising a shell (1), a panel assembly (2) bucked on the shell (1), an electromagnetic drive assembly (3) installed in the shell (1), a disengaging mechanism (4) and a contact assembly (5). The electromagnetic drive assembly (3) drives the contact assembly (5) to work via the disengaging mechanism (4); the disengaging mechanism (4) comprises a drive member for driving the contact assembly (5) to act and a lock member for locking the drive member; and the electromagnetic drive assembly (3) drives the lock member to act. The invention has the advantages of contact stabilization of the contact assembly, large-current flowing, flexibility and reliability.
