The invention discloses canned porridge, which comprises the following components in part by weight: 55 to 60 parts of solid matter, 0.002 to 0.008 part of lutein ester, 0.002 to 0.03 part of antioxidant, 0.03 to 0.2 part of emulsifier and 40 to 45 parts of water. The canned porridge comprises a proper amount of lutein ester, so the canned porridge is favorable for protecting eyes of a consumer after long-term eating. The invention also discloses a method for producing the canned porridge, which comprises the following steps of: pretreating, preparing materials, heating, sealing and sterilizing. Through the steps, the lutein ester can be effectively dispersed and dissolved in the canned porridge and has high stability in the canned porridge.
