The invention discloses a bending force-applying support for detecting metal corrosion resistance and a method thereof. The bending force-applying support comprises a base board (9) and a force-applying component, wherein, two faces of the base board (9) are respectively equipped with a side plate (1) and a support rib (8), a front face of the base board is equipped with a pair of side plates (1)arranged oppositely for laying up two ends of a detected metal test specimen (3), and a first insulator is arranged between contact points of the side plates (1) and the detected metal test specimen (3); the force-applying component is an adjustable bolt positioned on a lower part of a middle section of the detected metal test specimen (3), and a second insulator is arranged between force-applying points of the bolt and the detected metal test specimen (3); and the support rib (8) is arranged on a rear face of the base board (9) and perpendicular to the base board. The force-applying support of the invention can remain the metal test specimen in a detecting device in a long-term reliable electrical insulation and stable bending stress state; and during the detection process, the detectingdevice has no deformation, simple structure, simple, fast and convenient application method and low manufacturing cost.
