The invention relates to a coptis extract-containing natural antibacterial textile and a preparation method thereof. The coptis extract-containing natural antibacterial textile comprises a base cloth and microcapsules attached to base cloth fibers, wherein the microcapsules are prepared from coptis extract, polyvinyl alcohol, glutaraldehyde and an emulsifier. The coptis extract-containing natural antibacterial textile has the advantages of strong antibacterial activity, safety, environmentally friendly characteristic, washing resistance, simple preparation processes and good adaptability for industrialized large-scale production.
