A presser foot for a bartack sewing machine includes a pressing bar, presser foot plates, anti-skidding mechanisms and a limiting rod, wherein the pressing bar is connected with the connecting parts of the presser foot plates through connecting pieces and mounted on the presser foot plates; the two pi-shaped presser foot plates are butt joint to form a guide groove; the presser foot plate is provided with a groove; a corresponding anti-skidding mechanism is mounted in every groove of the presser foot plate; the anti-skidding mechanism includes an anti-skid belt, drive rollers and a ratchet; the drive rollers are arranged side by side; the anti-skid belt is sleeved outside the side by side drive rollers; the outside drive rollers extend out of the side edges of the presser foot plate; the extended out ends of the outside drive rollers are connected with the ratchet; the tail part of the limiting rod is connected with the side edges of the presser foot plate; and the tail part of the limiting rod is pressed in the clamp groove of the ratchet. By designing the presser foot for the bartack sewing machine, the anti-skidding mechanisms arranged in the two presser foot plates are used for skidding prevention, as long as the damaged anti-skid belt is replaced by a new belt, the performance of the presser foot becomes normal.
